Surely a heavy loss to bang average cas team should make the wire hierarchy sit up and do something with Mr price..as to who's available I haven't got a clue.but something's got to happen but then again the hierarchy are equally to blame in my book

Let's not forget, we scoured Australia for the best available coach, and ended up with Price.

Not convinced there's much out there in the talent pool to make a significant difference (unless Wane want to wear two hats, but his team's playing style at Wigan wasn't great either)

Maybe that's the problem. When we need to recruit, whether it's a marquee player or a coach, it's all aboard the nearest Quantas flight to.see which barrel needs scraping.

Did we actually enquire about or short list anyone from the UK? There's talent out there. We found our most potent attacker on the wing at Swinton.

I'd rather give Henderson or Simon Grix a punt then some bloke who tops the list becausr he's from Wagga Wagga.

Agree 100%.... this 'go to australia' mindset for a coach isnt for me after price.

lets give a young British coach a chance.... or someone steeped in the British game.... I dont want to fly someone in again.

We need someone that's well respected by players.... someone that can get them onside and build a real team spirit... Something we have been lacking for along time.

I reckon this is the issue, after the Wigan and Saints games I think Austin wanted to continue at 7 with Ratchford at 6.
Price has overruled this to bring in Widdop At 7.

Price has well and truly lost the dressing room in my opinion, who would want to play the style of rugby he is instructing the players to do? Its dull, predictable and has been for nearly a year. Hope the crowd turns on Friday if we get stuffed it would be thoroughly deserved and should make the board act.

After last week's godawful performance I would hope Price had cross words with a lot more players than just Austin!

Absolutely. I also hope that the players were able to express their views as well. Kev Brown made some interesting comments at the Leeds game to the effect that possibly the players do not like / believe in what Price is instructing / saying. He may have an insight into what is going on inside the club. If this is the case does Price lay down the law and do a Tony Smith (at the start of his reign) or does he adapt to the group view whatever that is. In either case he must know his job is on the line and it will be interesting to see what attitude the players show on Friday. If it's another Leeds then the door is open. If it is another St. Helens then the team wobble on in a generally forward direction and we wait for further developments
