I have this hope too. Like yours it’s very feint, but I recall that Wigan weren’t great last year but won when it mattered (I actually think they’ll win it again this year). But happy to be wrong if we do turn out to surprise everyone.

| I think we should travel to Wigan with only 100% fir players ,so there's likely to be run outs for younger players
Yes , Wigan will probably be level on points come next week but the second place is in our own hands still due to points superiority, so if we can win the last 3 games (if) we will finish 2nd , definitely 3rd
There is still hope ,wire have hit a real slump and lost our way (discipline being a main issue , most sin bins 2019? Confidence aswell) when you have this problem we know it affects your abilities we are not a bad team and I'm sure we can turn this around
I'm as frustrated as all fans on here but I do believe we can end this season on a real positive note
Our support has been fantastic and the team know it so let's give the wire a big push to the end of the season

| Send all fringe players who wants to fight for contention for a bench spot at Wembley, if case we lose someone in preparation and the u19s.
Win at Wembley at all cost and zero risk at Wigan...we don't need to win it.

I'm not sure this logic works but it seems to have also been taken on as our recruitment strategy since about 2013.

It's all I've got Sally, please don't take it away from me.
Our recruitment has been decent from within superleague, it's our overseas that aren't the same calibre. King, monoghan and hicks in the same season. Let that sink in! Who since then has been that standard? Austin, joel and Waterhouse? I know the salary cap has changed but other clubs seem to be managing far better than us.

It’s a shame we couldn’t keep hold of Hiku and he (& his partner) that couldn’t settle over here. He was awesome for those 11/12 games, he would certainly sort out our much needed centre problems if we was arriving next year.

| I don't get the love in for hiku, he lifted us for sure but almost all the games he played for us were in middle 8s against weaker opposition that we should never have been playing. I don't recall him being any better than Goodwin really. Don't get me wrong I'd rather we kept hold of him but I don't think we can put him in the same bracket as monoghans, king, hicks etc.
Sandow was very average when he signed, then he was magical the start of the following season until his injury and came back the same Sandow that arrived. He lost his way with spells on the sidelines it seems, but when he was good it was worth the admission fee just to watch him alone. In a way I think sandow is the most dissapointing of the lot, he showed us what he could do and then showed us the flaws to his genius.
Gidley was a good player but we didn't see the best of him, which is just down to the timing in his career.
The point is whoever we list as overseas recruits since Joel, none have exactly been as good or had the same sort of impact and influence on the team.

| For me, Sandow was the most exciting, spontaneous, genius of a player I've watched in p and b. It's subjective, but I've watched Wire since 1987 and seen some amazing players play for us including the likes of Jonathan Davies who was just incredible for us. But Sandow had pretty much everything. He was SL player of the month for those first 3 months he performed with us from the start of that season.
Our season started to shred when he went off at Wigan with the leg strain after taking us 20 odd points up before half time, including that brilliant try where he kicked to Penny on the wing. Pure gold dust was Sandow.

Exactly this, incredible his performance against Wigan in 20 minutes won us the game he was absolutely unplayable. However he didn't come back the same player. That was sort of him going out with a bang but we didn't know it at the time. If he stayed fit then we would probably be remembering his as one of our best ever signings instead of a flawed genius.

Could say his life started to shred from that point.
No player before or since has been that electric but it was so short lived. Such a shame.

He was an awesome player, so much talent wasted as he could of been a real success if he knuckled down for a couple more seasons over here. Unfortunately his petulance and behaviour off field got the better of him...
I still get goosebumps now thinking about that drop goal in last couple of seconds against Salford. Unreal..

File away with Richard Henare. Lightening quick until he started eating chips with mayonnaise and having a very young girlfriend over here.
