| Excellent performance, really excited for the season.
I thought Stef looked classy, cool and a constant threat at FB.

| Nothing beats the uncontrolled excitment of watching the Wire score a great try.

| Faultless up until about 60 minutes when the silly offloads crept in when we had good position and tackles in the bank. Can't grumble too much though

| Looks very encouraging. Could we be the Saints of this season?

| I thought that Leeds tactics at the play the ball were a bit dated and once we found a way round them, they didn't have much more to offer. I enjoyed our willingness to move the ball around, long may it continue.

| Lineham has definitely learned a new trick. Enjoyable game, looked good in attack and organised in defence. Interesting choice to put King in the pack.

Whaaaaaaat! Blake Austin gets an NRL deal two thirds of the season in, no longer can be arrissed and we get beat in both semi finals?
Hope not, but it's a possibility.

| Interesting how everyone wants to be quiet about Patton.
Well done Dec.
The knockers are quiet as they see your pass set up the opening try for Stef.

You are either
1 Dec Patton
2 Dec's family/friend
3 on a wind up
He played ok. Nothing to whinge about nothing to praise.
His fellow half back showed the gulf in class between the two

| Very poor game I thought, after the two excellent Sky games the previous nights. Leeds were just appalling, the amount of missed tackles, a lot of them basic one on ones was pathetic, their handling even worse. Hurrell looked every bit a player who hasn't played for 2 years. Charnley's try was embarassing, Atkins lumbers to the ball and passes it right to his winger, no dummy, no disguise. Charnley is then able to stroll over untouched from 6 foot out? Clark's wasn't much different. Their discipline was shocking as well, they have a penalty away on most sets you had in the first half. They were as bad as I've ever seen a team in Super League. Up there with the Hull of the second half of last season. They absolutely stank.
As for you lot, you've got an impressive squad and I think you'll be the run away league leaders this year. I don't think you are technically better than Saints or Wigan even, still a lot of average players in your 17, but you play with more urgency and clearly want it more than the other sides in Super League. Your gameplan was quick play the balls, desperately quick to try and force penalties. Kendall made that easy tonight, but that could backfire with a more competent ref as several times your forwards didn't even move the ball from the floor, just left it on the floor and played it. Your offloads were the highlight of a solid first showing and again made very easy for you tonight by Leeds' lack of physicality. There were a few excellent offloads, but a lot, particularly from the backs were just throwing the ball out wildly and that can very easily become a bad idea if you turn the ball over, which is possible if the opposition has any level of desire and commitment, which Leeds didn't. Second half you got dragged down to their level and made loads of mistakes and the pack ran out of steam and everything slowed to a crawl and had the feeling of a pre season game.
Austin looked good, he looks a character as well, which is desperately needed in SL. Westwood still a grub, no doubt get cited for that if the RFL has any level of competence.

| Really chuffed and have just finished watching it back on sky. For a first game, I thought we looked really good and that's the thing- it was the first game.
Just a few overall points:-
-pack excellent, especially front row. (Also how good is Benny w at that age!)
-Austin looked good already and I thought Decs role as a distributer was good
-backs look very good and Austin's added threat, I feel, gave them extra space
-defence was good and you could tell we'd been working on our attack via offloads and some nice structures.
Really chuffed with the attendance

While being second best to another halfback Ratchford playing as a pivot as 1....if you want to change your mind now and call me Stef?
