| Quote: Wolf Hall "Why don't you and some of the others on here you say make positive suggestions write to Simon Moran and the other directors and ask for a meeting so you could share your ideas as to how you could improve the club's playing fortunes? Writing on a RL Forum is unlikely to get a response from the club, just other like minded fans.
The rest of us would be interested to find out how you get on.'"
Well that wont work, Why because as wire as said in his post they have shut down the avenues of contact that were there previously. We had a couple of fans forums with promises of more to come but Draper left and that was the end of that.

| Can't believe the OP is serious. Warrington are lucky as hell to have a backer like Moran. As for a fans seat on the board? Jesus! What a shambles that would turn out to be. An utterly thankless task.
By all means go that way if you want to be playing us in a few years.

| Going back to Roger Draper, when it was announced he was leaving i was surprised and posted on here i felt something wasnt right. Reason for that was at forums and other times i chatted with him he was full of enthusiasm about the direction of the club and more importantly FAN engagement, next thing you know he as gone, as i said something not right about that, can only guess other board members want to keep it like the mill owners of old.

| Isn't the ultimate sanction of the paying fan to stop turning up for games ? The club will soon get the message if the cash flow dries up.
I will still be attending matches that my season ticket covers but as for next season the club will have to show me some commitment to get my hard earned cash.

I would not trust fans of any club to run the said club or to make any of the big decisions do I trust someone who has ran and runs a multimillion pound successful company to make hard desisions ??

| Oh, I don't mean should we tell him to sell up. I am looking at the issue from his point of view - should he bother with all the aggro after the money he has put into the club and the time it must take away from running his other businesses ? Lets face it, we all get to a point where we say 'enough', and walk away. As fans we are fortunate because we don't have the time and money commitment that he does, so if we don't like what we are seeing on the pitch we can go for a game of golf instead. No, if he does pull the plug we will be in real trouble - but then as was previously mentioned, since he pays for the club its 'at his whim.

Just playing devils advocate, FC Barcelona is run by it's membership. They do OK. https://www.fcbarcelona.com/members/card/voice-and-vote
whilst Blackburn Rovers FC are run by the Venkys management team who run a $1Bn turnover conglomerate. They have not done OK.

What is 'Titting on diving boards'...? I'm getting on a bit and not up to speed with the latest fads. Is it some sort of new craze for those with ManBoobs? And was he disciplined for it? Where are the selfie pics on his twitter account?

| Well i dont get the need for going away for warm weather training, what was point of spending half million quid on an indoor training pitch, is that just for when it rains.

Plenty of reasons to do it, training in warmer weather has its benefits the reasoning behind the trip is sound however the players are there to train and improve not be fooling round in the sun and there should have been things in place to stop it or at least deter people from seeing it as a jolly up !

Fun should be encouraged. Shared experiences are vital for building relationships within the team. They're not just work colleagues, they need to Be brothers almost on the pitch. And why should they not enjoy time away. Work hard, they should be able to enjoy themselves.

| As others have said, if you want to express serious reservations about the current set up or, even better if you have constructive ideas about how to solve the crisis, write to Simon or Stuart at the club.
The Royal Mail still works. However, you'd need to include your name and address. The club is unlikely to pay much attention to anonymous posters on this board.
By and large supporters do not have the expertise to run a club, either from the business side or the playing side, and I'm speaking as someone who has part-owned and run businesses with turnovers much higher than WRLFC. The sports business is a very particular one. I am a passionate fan of the Wire but I am not capable of running the club not of advising them on coaching or playing staff appointments. I doubt if anyone else on this board is capable either.
We are entitled to complain, and the ultimate sanction is, of course, to stop turning up to watch.
