I did read that there is a bye law in the game which states that a player is not allowed to fund his own transfer.
A load of rubbish then

There's not, however i do think that since the days of actual trolls and constant battles with opposition fans on here are long gone, its surprising/disapointing when you see someone react like yourself to a visitor.
Regarding what he's said, granted the bit about him funding the difference sounds a bit chinese whispers/jungle drums but him moving back, well...every man and his dog earlier this year said the squad was in tatters, morale was low and there was a divide between players and coaching staff, such and such a player was on teh list and had been dropped for X reason.
Now, if we carry that on, and things haven't been miraculously fixed, is it that much of a stretch to think he may want to go back to the team and place where he seemed to enjoy living etc? especially if they're on the up and we're not(and he would have a good idea of how the land lies here)

| If Westerman wasn't enjoying himself he wouldn't be one of our top performers this season.
3 Cas lads playing pool in a pub approached by local Tigers fan 'When you coming back lads?' 'We're ALL re-signing as soon as our contracts are up.......now he's gone let's crack on with the pool, he'll forget about that in 4 years'.

To be fair if you look on the Hull Forum this rumour is mentioned in passing, no more. Even when I boomeranged it it doesn't crop up. If it isn't trolling it certainly seems to be wishful thinking. As does the "3 men in a Castleford pub" rumour>

| Westerman talks very much like a determined full blown Wire when I last heard him last month.

I genuinely don't think this was a case of trolling CH. Wilde has posted on our Board before and has never caused problems. Also I have looked on the Hull Board (before I replied to Wilde) in the thread on 'recruitment and retention'. It was a remark from one poster that said he had got the information from a club sponsor, the thread then discussed the merits of him returning or not.
As FMC has rightly said we don't have the same volume of trolls on here as in previous years. I wouldn't classify Saddened as a troll either. We may not agree with what he says, but I think he is genuine in offering his views.

| I'm not sure on the precise definition of a troll but I definitely think Saddened is a wind up merchant on occasion. I find him amusing though. The Westerman thing, sounded like wishful thinking can't see anyone getting their knickers in a knot over it (if I gave the impression that I was worked up about either of them then my bad [as we youngsters say].

| Always been an admirer of Westerman since he has been with us but would not be unhappy if Hull were to pay a decent fee (not that I am expecting them to). It would give us the opportunity to move Harvey Livett there which, I think, is his best position. He is certainly big enough, is as much a playmaker as Westerman and probably the best goal kicker we have.

| On the subject of Livett, did anyone see that feign to kick when holding the ball in one hand, followed by the step off the right foot? If he'd had a runner inside of him that would have been a try of the season contender. And if it had been a Wigan or Saints player we'd be hearing the phrase "world class" from Eddie for the next 10 seasons...
I'd actually like to see him get an extended run at right centre.

| Cas fans said for years that Ellis would finish his career there, but never did, no way can they say what will happen in 2/3 years, things change, maybe they won't be good enough for Cas or they are struggling and couldn't afford to sign these 3, lots change.
As for the Westerman to Hull rumours I don't see it, doubt we would pay a fee and you won't rightly release him for free.

| I certainly dont believe the part of the rumour where Westerman is going to contribute to the fee himself, but its plausible that this move could happen. Its looking increasingly likely that Ellis will retire this year, and his boots are too big to fill internally, so we are very much in the market for a top loose forward. Westerman fits the bill as well as anyone. Hull didnt really want to lose him in the first place, and maybe he has now come to realise he liked it better at Hull and now that we can offer him a realistic shot at silverware maybe he does want a return.
Fwiw I dont think theres anything in it, but as rumours go its a reasonable one.

| I would hope that we would only consider it if fauna was on his way to us.
Wouldn't want him to leave but I feel in the back row we can handle his departure livett or savellio could go to loose and develop their game in a settled position

You might want to reel it in a bit on the "Hull didn't want to lose him in the first place" comment. That's your opinion and certainly not that of anyone connected to the club
