| This thread smacks of paranoia. I can buy the fact that people think the commentary is poor (though surely you can't complain about the actual coverage-watch the choice of camera angles for a Catalans game and try and argue that point!); but to suggest anti-Wire bias is a little silly. The fans of most clubs in the league probably think Sky are anti-their club: most people cited Stevo as a closet Rhino, yet the South Stand had a spell of regularly chanting 'Stevo what's the score' when ahead in a televised game.
Generally I think the coverage is pretty fair. However the commentary can be poor (much prefer BBC for this), and I don't really get Barrie and Terry. Clarkey I don't mind, and Wells and Carney have freshened up the format. I'd prefer Woods with another (varied ex-player) summariser/opinion giver, and ditch Cummins (who is only needed as the current lot can be a bit vague on the rules, and obsess about refereeing decisions too much!)

| The bias isn't a problem for me, the problem I have is for a minority sport trying to attract new fans, we spend the majority of the analysis reviewing decisions than showing the skill. The commentary (not just Friday) is generally about errors, penalties and mistakes made by both players and officials, whereas the NRL commentators wax lyrical about the moments of skill. It's a completely different viewing experience.
I'm not calling for propaganda, just to spend less time scrutinising the mistakes and enjoy the game. I couldn't care if Ablett's hand was on the ball or not, it's a knock on, show the game! If we can't find something in 40 minutes for Wells to look at other than the Atkins knock on and the Westwood 'tackle' then we are in desperate times indeed.

| tonight's annoyance must be a easy one for us all too safely say annoyed every one of us.
that was Eddie's ocd on Kurt Gidley for a mistake.
actually like the fact when Gidley did make the 1 mistake he made at the Base of the scrum. it wasn't actually referenced.

Yet pre game he was bigging us up saying he's waiting for us to put 50 points on someone -and it could be tonight etc. Was a right tune-change by the end.

Was at the game too (first of the season, up from the smoke), but watched it back. Cummings, as usual, didn't want a single decision to go our way. Eddie and Barrie laughed off the Houston 'hair tackle' on Sims, and all the team were tugging each other silly with the idea Philbin had done a double movement for ages until the real-speed replay showed how ridiculous the notion was.

In all fairness he's right...... we were awful in the second half. Luckily Widnes were slightly worse. (and they had Houston playing who almost wanted to win the match for us)
Widnes were there for the taking and we should have done a real number on them. Unfortunately the players thought the game was over at half time......... hopefully it was energy conservation for the game on Monday.

That was a special effort by Cummings to sound even more anti Wire than hemmings. I thought widnes' discipline was dreadful. It arguably cost them the game but the "experts " on several occasions talked about Warrington getting "benefit of the doubt"....
No problem with Phil Clarke he's right. ..our attack is poor but our defence looked good so we're taking baby steps at the moment. ... be interesting to see what Clarke says about Wigan though if they don't rack up a ton of points against their local rivals today ......

| In a game based on scoring points an inability to score doesn't stand the team in good stead to win trophies. We can't complain though because Widnes were desperate for the win too & both teams showed they are far from brilliant at the moment.

| Could it be that we simply consolidated our lead in the second half bearing in mind that there's another game to play this Easter?
