Quote: Fantastic Mr Catpiss "The 45 quid lower tier ones have always been the most popular, they were previously 35 quid and in 2009, i chose to go for them, as i predicted most ppl would go for the super cheap tickets, either up in the loft or right at the front of the lower stand. In 2010 they again were most popular and in 2012 they went to up 45, i can easily believe that these were the first ones sold out based on not being in the nosebleeds and not being extortionate prices.'"

Tail between my legs time, now I'm in a bit of a better mood: I get these would be most popular, but couldn't believe they would sell out that quick - however, a quick calculation, and on getting some more info, it turns out there's less than 3,500 £45 lower tier in our end, which ain't that many really, and I get that these would have sold out by now. I think we ended up there in 2012 by doing the 'what if' form thing. Guess I needed to act on Saturday night to get these, but was on holiday, so couldn't. I originally thought there were probably about 10,000 seats in this area, but when you look at it, each block is only about 500-600 seats.

Managed to get row 7, in upper tier, on the 20 metre line (block 503), which I'm just about happy with.

Still think the 'middle' tier (i.e. blocks 2XX) probably haven't been released yet, so my original rant is still valid I reckon icon_wink.gif

Well just on another history lesson, i started a new job on the monday of 2009, so couldn't take the morning off to queue up at the H&J, all the reports were that it was hell on earth at the time, in terms of queing and lack of information, so i went to the rfl and got my tickets from there, then the next couple of years used the waht if form.

This week, i neglected to bring my ST card with me, neither did a member of our party and two others weren't even at the game so i was a little concerned about being lost in the rush myself, i had a look on the RFL site and there were some odd patches in the 45's lower tier that did seem available and i think i dropped lucky in getting a stack from there, and i was the last phone call before they closed (thanks Dylan, at the "WTF has richard silverwood done, helpline?" i'd heard earlier in the day that they were selling tickets in our end as well so they must have been distributed between the club, see tickets and still at the RFL.

Glad you got sorted though, see you there.

I think that this ring of seats is Club Wembley and so won't get released for general sale. Always strikes me as a shame that there are so many of these seats unoccupied on game day, and the RFL should argue that Club Wembley complementary tickets shouldn't include the Challenge Cup final anymore.

The club Wembley seats and the VIP seating under the trophy balcony were all but empty last year and is such a shame as if there is going to be 65-75k for a CC cup final which i know is disappointing for some fans not to sell out. But its a decent crowd in my book. It would look and feel so much better if everyone was concentrated in the first and middle tiers than everyone dotted around the nosebleeds the middle tier completly empty and the 1st tier packed apart from two empty VIP blocks right across from the tv cameras.

I had everything set up at home (and on my phone) ready to book during the game should it be going our way... k020.gif .
as soon as Ratchford Scored to takes us past 30 I got the missus to do the necessary on the RFL website and we got our "usual" place in block 113. eusa_whistle.gif she could have got them right behind the sticks but I'm a bit superstitious so we opted for no further than we've been before so 113 is round about our usual spot, and that will do me....!!

I saw that fans over in Hull were camping overnight, and fans were queuing at the HJ at 6am in the morning, what's that all about, its not the 1970's.....

No i go online, when u choose the section you want it then shows the row and seat numbers, if u dont like whats shown just come out and redo it till u hopefully get what you want. I guess ringing the RFL ticket office would be just as easy.

Almost this...

A naughty tip.
You have 20mins to make your purchase and all tickets you have selected will be on hold for that period.

So....

Put all your alloted tickets into your basket, and keep selecting more until the system gives you tickets your happy with, then you click the little x' at the side corner of those you want to reject.

I had over 18 selections before I got front row of the east side.

.....doing this means you can pick the best you put in the basket in case further choices go rubbish again.

Quote: karetaker "It's why I buy from the RFL for all finals big games etc, you can pretty much choose from what's available.'"

I haven't bought a final ticket from the club since the 1995 Regal Trophy and I've been to every one we've been involved in since then. No idea why everyone doesn't just use the RFL website.

For those that haven't already bought their ticket, the RFL ticket page is really easy to use, you can choose where you want to sit using the "My favourite seat" option on the Challenge Cup page, and use this website www.mapaplan.com/seating-plan/we ... lution.htm to see where your seat will actually be.

I've sat in the Gods the last three finals, and while enjoyable I did feel a little bit out on the edge of the central support area, and it was a bit quiet up there, so have booked block 112 this time row 37 so hopefully right in the thick of the singing and cheering. Can't wait now icon_biggrin.gif

Could be a big crowd for this one - 10k sold by Hull in a couple of days, and that is without the ones bought through the RFL. I am sure you guys will pack out your stand as well and 2 sides with different colours will make Wembley look fantastic. Here's to some cracking weather for it and a few drinkies and some light hearted banter!
