The best answer to the unfortunate fixture planning is to beat Saints convincingly then use our 10 day recovery time to get ready for Wakey.

I can't believe we play saints after only a 5 day turnaround and they have a week off. I'll complain about the catalans match if we win on Saturday.

On the plus side if we win out first 3 games we could well be guaranteed a playoff spot.

Here's a question would you want them to change it obviously not at our expense? I would for the good of the game as this part of the format surely shouldn't be a procession and also if we don't lose our spot one of our friendly neighbours would.....a double blessing

How would you change the format, surely you can't have everyone on zero points to start super 8's because what's to stop a team doing just enough to get into the 8 then eyeballs out to the grand final, also hardly fair on the team that was top after round 23. Granted it's not that good a system in that a few of the teams have very little chance of getting into top 4 but end of day it's their own faults for not winning enough games.

Haha, made me laugh as it reminded me of that Jean guy on the VT who always called them players by their full names but slips up sometimes forgetting and calls them their shortened name.

Imagine building a ten point lead in first place in the regular rounds only to pick a up a few injuries in week1 of the Super 8s and find yourself 8th at the end of the 8s.

I don't want to change the format and that was my point it's good that the top 4 aren't nailed on to finish 4th at the start of this phase of the competition. We were too far away last year to have any realistic chance of replacing anyone above us, lose a game early on it's too much to make up season effectively over.

Yes Saints finished 4th but current form apart Catalans can't be written off and as I said it would be good if 5th finished 4th for the format and the game but not at our expense

I do want a format change. Just because this year suits, it doesn't make it right.

These super 7 games either go and make a top 4 only or keep the format and bring in a 4/5th play off.

The bottom 3 will be mathematically out of the top 3 should the top 3 win and will rely on Saints winning no more than 2 while every game the bottom 3 must win thereafter.

Cats are the only team that can retake 4th but beating Saints is a do or die.

If fact we almost are playing 7 utter useless ties....all this can be sorted out with just one game now....Saints v Cats for a 1/4 final spot.

I prefer that the season means more, why should a team be poor all year,scrape 8th and have a chance of winning in 3 knockout games? At least this way a team that finishes 8th has pretty much no margin for error to make then playoffs as reward for their inconsistency.

I mean they have zero chance unless the top 3 loose every game and the bottom 3 win every game. There's no margin whatsoever.
