I think we won twice at Craven Park in 2014. In the cup in April and again in SL in June.

I am curious about this mentality I see a lot of in the RL community.
There are 11 games to go, and 22 points to play for and we are only 4 points off the top, but people seem to believe that the chance of finishing top is not realistic?
Really???
Surely there is every chance to finish top in such a tight top 4.
Is it just that people don't expect Warrington to finish the season well or that Hull are so damn good that they will not drop more than 2 of their remaining 11 games?
In most other sporting leagues, to be 2 wins from the top of the table with 11 games to go, most fans would be believing that there is a chance to win the league.

| Isn't this the split too where league points are carried forward to the top 8 ? The more points you have the bigger start you have in the next stage.

| We're so far in front of the chasing four, is it reasonable not to take risks and be selective of which games to attack full on to maintain the status quo, whilst having a beady eye on having our team tip top before we play the cc semi and final?

Whilst I understand our logic you'd also want to avoid an away game in an ideal world?

| I would definitely rest hill and Clarke this week. Hill looks on his feet. And you are more likely to pick up an injury when your body is tired. But we have to be careful to avoid a possible away trip to Catalans in the last four

Would you not agree a fully fit side away from home, is a greater menace than having one shot at, for one single extra home tie?
And I'll add..
Would not consider a neutral venue and Wembley also as a fixture away from what slight advantage a home tie can award?...likewise the team with the greater menace would likely win.
Isn't the reward of one extra home tie, too little of a benifit to risk such a bigger bonanza?

| The disaster would be to finish top and then St Helens sneak into 4th...
Next worse would be Wigan away...
Then Catalans away....
I don't think it makes much difference to us playing Hull home or away....
Catalans at home would be my first choice....

| Yes Saints at home would be a disadvantage, massively.
I don't fear anyone away.

| Pedal to the metal all the way in I think. If we had won a few of the games where we got turned over and built a bit of a gap between us and say third place then yes I would rest players. The trouble is we did not do that and are in third level on points with 4th and will now have to more than likely field the best players without giving them a rest. I would preferably have a home semi final against any team apart from St Helens.

I agree with the first part of your post KLW but without wishing to put the mockers on it Saints can't finish 4th can they? In any event that part of the hoodoo can't last one more game can it, so dependant upon how the split fixtures work out we may get a chance of putting it and them to bed.

Plenty of games for Sintellins to climb into 4th spot. Remember there are an additional 7 games after the split.

Yes there are plenty of games left and out of the pre split games there's possibly only Wigan that might take points of Saints (but you never know this season) meaning that they should still be at least 4 points behind us and Catalans and a bit of score difference to make up so effectively 5.
I know that it's all conjecture, but with that kind of margin lose a game après split early doors and you've gone.
It's a pity Wigan have a couple of extra points on the board their run in is tricky Hull FC Saints and Catalans away
