No i do mean 2011 , I'm referring to the play off semi when James Child flagged Richie Myler offside at the play the ball and Sinfield kicked the penalty to win by 2 points.

That was heartbreaking that. Still makes me cry thinking about it

| The atmosphere and banter in the crowd during that 80-0 disaster was actually really good. Weirdly I quite enjoyed it.

| I don't think I'll ever get that 80-0 out of my head I felt physically sick.. I left with 20 mins to go I very very rarely leave before the end of a game... I wish I'd left at half time of that one..

| Yeah we left around the 60 minute mark and listened to the radio commentary on the way home, all you could here was.. 'and they're in again' did become quite funny in the end, in a gallows humour type of way.

I remember this at one of the next Saints games after that, we had an amazing atmosphere at Knowsley Road and went absolutely bonkers when we scored a try about 65 minutes in (to their ~10 tries). I really enjoyed that, in a weird way.
That 2011 playoff defeat was incredibly painful, as was the GF loss to Wigan after losing Monahgan and Ratchford. The GF against Leeds I was fine with, they were clearly the better team, but the way we played against Wigan it felt like we'd have likely won it without the injuries...
Also, every Saints loss between September 2002 and July 2004, when I was at sixth form less than half a mile from Knowsley Road. I was the only Wire fan in the place to have the guts to wear the shirt after those losses, painful as it was.

| - Losing to Widnes at home to 12 men. That tackle on Hodgson was sickening, was very worried about him.
- 0-80 against Saints
- Losing the league to Wigan '93.
- The sinking feeling when Monas went off and Wigan scored, then knowing that we were going to lose the GF after Ratch went off. Watching that unfold was agonising.

| Seeing Hodgson and Waterhouse walking around the touchline in their suits whilst the team were warming up before the 2013 GF. Those two play and we win, injuries or no injuries.

But...Hodgson wasn't injured.

| The Whole of 2002 ( A whole new breed, yeah right !) apart from ?
1) The signing of Nat Wood and Super Ben
2) The win against Cas that made us safe from relegation
3) The away shirt

| Imbibing one port and lemon too many at the Lancs Fed Player of the Year do (goodness knows what year, the late 80s and early 90s are a tad sketchy in a social context) and getting jiggy on the dancefloor with a lady who may well have had certain aesthetic qualities (I doubt it given my condition frankly) but who threw me round like a rag doll and left me a broken man.
Made 80-0 at Saints seem like the 86 premiership final in comparison.

| All the obvious ones such as the Saints defeats, 80-0, Lydons drop goal, injuries costing us a GF win against wigan. But the other one that still hurts is the GF semi final against Leeds where they won it courtesy of an off side decision against Richie Myler. I still think Myler timed his run perfectly

I didn't enjoy one minute of rugby league until we beat Leeds at Wembley the following year after the 2011 Play-off semi defeat with two minutes to go when Sinfield got that pen for the Myler offside.
Go to 24:20 on this vid and he is ten metres away when the ball is played by the foot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2mf0RfSShs
I felt worse that night than losing to Leeds then Wigan in the Grand Finals in 2012 and 2013.

| Challenge Cup Final v Widnes 1975 and having to stay in London and get the late train back to Bank Quay, compounded by having the Widnes team rock up at Euston and 'parade' the Cup through the station.
Enough said GRRRR!!!
