If Julien is on the bench instead of King then Westwood will need to do a spell at prop. I would start Westwood on the bench if that were the case.

However, I suspect Atkins will almost certainly play centre with Currie moving back into the pack.

I understand how people are unsure on atkins!! But he's a centre it's always easy to say if he'd jhave passed we would have scored, not necessarily the case can be intercepted knocked on forward the winger.may.make wrong decision!!

For me we need a recognised centre playing at centre and he is what we have!! Hopefully he will perform on a more consistent basis this season!!

I feel we are a tad over critical of Atkins. He's not perfect but he's a handful for the opposition and has scored some good tries over a number of years for us. Mind you some love a good old moan. No Asotasi or Myler this year ... it's going to throw a few!

I don't think many people would argue that Atkins has not been a good signing for us over his career. TS has a difficult choice as to whether he picks him or leaves him out of the 17 tomorrow. Of all our players I would say Atkins is the 'confidence player'. He can turn it on when in the right mood, but leave him out and self doubt will probably start to eat away. However leaving Jullien out will short change a player that put in some excellent defensive work both against Leeds and Leigh. He is built like a BR forward and certainly tackles like one. He is a bit like Currie with a muscular build and can also play BR or Centre. He is quite raw still, and I have not seen enough attacking play from him, but at ? 20 /21, surely he has a lot of development to come. We could slip up against any SL side, but we should beat HKR on paper, so giving him another game would be my preference...... but TS will play Atkins methinks.

I don't recognise any attacking centre skills in Atkins at all. He rarely attempts a pass and more often than not when he does it is of poor quality.

Yep, until Wheeler and Bailey find themselves in the starting XIII, Ryan is going to feel every exposed as the lone scapegoat.

Perhaps the club should sign an official scapegoat...it would be ideal for a player who has retired but could still come in for some stick if we lose. Is Matt Sturm available ?

I think some dib-dobs even booed Atkins when he got a man of the match award last year. With Wheeler it's as if he gets injured on purpose. Last year some couldn't write on any topic without adding the words "lazy" and "Asotasi". I think Henry Faafilli should be brought back. All he did was keep scoring tries.

Yes and Gleeson was helped by having Briers inside of him. They were formidable together.

There is a lot of unnecessary criticism of Ryan here. 121 tries in 179 appearances is an impressive return.

I like Atkins but can't help getting nervous when he has the ball.
