Despite the fact that it may not necessarily have been the refusal of free coach travel that prompted the reaction from "the woman in the shop", I have been persuaded by you to let the train take the strain from Manchester to Headingly. Although as it's a Sky game I'm not totally convinced that the return gives much margin for error.

It's to be hoped your players show a bit more commitment than you Mr Armchair
And maybe a roof on the visitors stand would make the experience more inviting.

There's always been enough time to do the journey I posted about whenever I've been before, although if you just need to get back to Piccadilly and don't need a connection from there, I think there's one at about 11.30pm-ish anyway. We need the earlier one or we miss the train to Heald Green.

It's the local train not the Leeds Piccadilly that I was concerned about don't need a connection from town as my car will be parked near Oxford Rd. Having said that if the local Headingly train causes a problem we could always get a cab to Leeds

| You could walk from Headingley to Leeds and make the last train! I've never missed the 10.15 from Burley Park before anyway.
The only close call was after the 2006 play off game when Briers won it at the end. The kick off had been delayed and obviously the match went down to the wire so I couldn't leave early. I did have to skip the celebrations and run to the station, but I still made it.

Not that old chestnut Mr Armchair ! Leeds will be enjoying a dry night with balmy temperatures of 10 degrees on Thursday evening. The weather is set fair, you know you want to really

I'm pleased to hear that, I actually drove as I was running late on the outward journey after all that and was tucked up in bed at around 11.30 despite a 'detour' around Bratfurd and the fog over the tops.
However, despite beating the train by a good 45 mins door to door the traffic in Leeds is awful and I'm obviously disappointed I didn't get to meet Heald Green's very own Beau Brummel
