| To be fair ratchford only moved to centre when Russell went to fullback because of our injuries.
I think the best option would be ratchford at full back, gildey the controlling organising halfback and sandow the off the cuff half to go alongside him. Gildey won't go to nine because we have Clark and Dwyer.
1. Ratchford
6. Gidley
7. Sandow
9. Clarke
That's not a bad spine I suppose.

Do you honestly think our coaching staff has memories as long as a goldfish?
We've just been discussing a "one trick play" in another thread.
Although sometimes it does make you wonder.

I stand corrected. My thinking was that IF the Sandow thing happens, it'll have been more from a chance of circumstance that he's become available, which would maybe change the thinking behind how we utilise Gidley - I would still like to see one of our existing halves partnered by Gidley/Sandow, to develop further, as it's a little short-termism in my view to bring in two Aussie mercenaries at 6&7, as good as it might be for now, we'd be back to square 1 when they both leave.
But I guess with the versatility in the squad and the way we've shuffled things around this season with Russell on the wing, Bridge at HB or LF, Ratch playing everywhere, Clarke and Dwyer/Higham on the pitch at the same time you can't really second guess anything.

No I don't, and didn't say anything of the sort.
I said it makes perfect sense for him/his people to cash in on the buzz. Maybe I should have added the word "attempt" in there for clarity.
What I meant was that when a player gets some buzz, this sort of thing happens, esp if their future is a little in the balance.
I didn't say anywhere that Warrington, or anyone else will all of a sudden think Myler is a world beater and offer him the marquee spot.
The point I was making was there's a lot of Myler chat and rumour at the moment, which has obviously come from his people in the wake of his recent good press.

| God Help Catalan in 2016 if they can't get Carney fit . I couldn't think of a less inventive pair of halves than Myler and Bosc .. However he will be a top Foil for Carney .

| All the best Richie.
Just thinking though, after 5 years I'm struggling to remember anything much to look back on that we'll miss, aside from last week's try, Wembley in 12 perhaps

| Myler is a good supporting half but not a lead half. Worked well with Briers as lead.
I thought he would have stepped up, but to be a lead half (and a youngish one) you've got to be a niggly little sod with lots of cheek to boss hardened pros with up to 10 more experience - like a Danny Brough.
Myler isn't that and I think doesn't feel comfortable in that role.
FWIW I'm not sure GOB / Patton are either but that could change if they learn from the new halves.
So whilst it's sad to see him go I think that if Sandow is as 'spunky' as is said it'll be a step forward.
Thanks for all your efforts Richie.

| He scored a belter at Wigan a couple of years back, lovely couple of sidesteps.

Yes, there have been flashes of high quality play. The most memorable one must surely be the kick through at Wembley that left Hall stranded and an open try line for Monaghen - well, it was for me anyway. But they were like distant oasis in a desert, and it seems to me that Smith / Moran have finally had enough and given up on him.
I also get the feeling that Smith has woken up from a long slumber and we are seeing a big clear out at the HJ. Gone is the 'lets be patient' approach, although I suppose if you pay big money for imports like Lineham and Gidley, possibly the Sandyman as well, you can not afford to carry players that are either injured all the time, or simply not producing the goods. That could mean GOB and Wheeler might be on their way as well Asotasi and the rumoured Bridge to Widnes. Who is going to be next ?

I remember thinking it was Briers until I got round to watching it again the next day.
