Never a dull moment, eh. A win is a win I suppose. Should be beating Widnes by more than that though, we just have to make life difficult. Over halfway into the season and we're not being anywhere near consistent. I said we would click in the end but I'm doubting that now and think we will continue to nickel and dime our way to the 8's and after that who knows.

Don't under estimate Widnes. They are not easy beats.

I did think that the 80 nil and the defeat of Leeds without Sinfield and Burrow for 65 mins didn't tell the whole story.

Today we were big, strong and really stupid. We should have won comfortably and probably deserved to lose because of the errors, penalties and poor decision making. Lucky.

On another note,dont believe for one minute what the stadium announcer said the attendance was,for me it was way higher.

I found plenty room to move about in the south stand today. There were lost of seats in the stands too. I'd say that figure just short 11000 was about right.

Sounded like Atkins didn't do anything to justify his inclusion over King? Also sounded like Benny had a good game along with Ratch?

Atkins had a strong game. He swapped with Gene and covered the wing in defence, in fact that was just where he was when Mellor kicked and it went straight into his hands, Atkins had the luck to help set up the match winning try.

I'd say Atkins was one of a handful that gave his all, with the 2 Bens, Patton, Ratchford, Joel and Currie. The rest was average or poor.

Atkins did more work today in the middle of the field than he did as a centre which makes me wonder why we don't give him a run in the back row. He's big and strong enough, runs it hard and tackles hard too so he could blossom there. His centre play is nothing special either.

Made up to win but if we have 'turned a corner' we must have crashed into a lamp post.

Handful of players can be happy with their effort and application including Westwood, Ratch, Higham, Ormsby, Hill....others less so.

Hilarious wasn't it, we were predicting 12k, maybe and a half.


West stand was about three quarters full, and the north including the new corner were very busy.
