Thought England played well on Thursday. Always get the feeling he's about to overstep the mark though.

England gave it a very good go on Thursday as did Hill. What is really letting us down is poor attacking decisions, putting too much ball to ground & especially atrocious defending. The defence is so bad that opponents are making too much ground in possession & if we are lucky enough to stop them scoring we are frequently getting the turn over too close to our line.
I think the boys need to focus on defence first & foremost to begin turning the season round....defence can win games if the determination is in place to win the ball back in the tackle & turn possession into a counter attack.

My philosophy is attack is the best defence.

When our forwards win a penalty or get the advantage given, GOB kicks for touch are so conservative at one point Thursday it was nearly 90 degrees to where penalty was given rather than right in the corners, then our disturbing efforts of possession at there try line with no craft to get over,, looks like Matty russel is out myler back in,

But we've been doing that years anyway. Briers used to only get 30 metres on his kicks to touch. Which has always been one of my bugbears.

Speaking of defence, a fair few people need to give penny an apology on his supposed defence issues, when Thursday summed up that it doesnt matter who is on the wings, we look shot because of what's happening in the middle.

We're easy to attack against. The opposition's team discussion goes like this:

Manager: next up boys, Warrington. Any ideas?

Manager: oh wait, hang on. Wingers are you listening? You guys just stand on your touch lines. Halfbacks, you just get the ball out wide to them. Then the wingers just walk in, okay? Okay.

Player: is that it? What about defence tactics?

Manager: just wing it. They'll knock on or pass the ball to us anyway.
