Actually, yes. Warrington have lost four consecutive league games under Tony Smith.

| I cannot see how Currie warrants selection he has been dire of late and needs some time on the sidelines.
And it is about time players were selected in their best positions.

I agree with selecting players on their best positions but with the players available for Thursday, with my belief that Bridge is not fit, then Currie is the only choice for centre to allow Ratch back in the halves

Sacre Bleu !, you are correct. 2010, four SL losses separated by a CC semi and win.

| i literally have no idea what team i would like to see ... I think moving Ratchford into the halves is a good idea... he is our best fullback.. but he is also probably our best HB.. we need to get him on the ball more.
Bridge doesn't really deserve to keep his place at 6.. or in the for that matter. If he can prove his fitness and not look like a shadow of his former self then fair enough.
I think playing players in their natural positions wouldn't be a bad idea.

So we have not lost four consecutive league matches under Smith. Question remains - have we lost 3 ?

I am afraid we have lost four in a row back in 2010, here is the sequence;
22-24 (Leeds) 39-26 (Wigan cc semi) 16-36 (Wigan) 28-40 (Wakefield) 25-16 (Hudds cc final) 16-40 (HKR)

Yes, that's the correct sequence, but the year was 2009 during the first of our recent CC winning runs.
I guess the re-phrasing of the original question is have we ever lost three matches in a row in all competitions under Smith?

At this rate we will get a reputation as the data nerds of the Wire board, but no, we have never lost three games in a row under Tony Smith.
( does that include friendlies ?)

Yep, I agree that this is getting sad now but I think, on a technicality, we have lost three consecutive competitive games under Smith....
In 2010 we lost both our play-off games at the end of the season: away at Saints for our last ever visit to Knowsley Road, followed by a home loss to Hudds that saw us eliminated. We then lost our opening SL game of 2011 at Magic Weekend in Cardiff when the RFL experimented with having it on the opening weekend.
So that's three-in-a-row.
However, for complete clarity: we have never lost three consecutive games in all competitions under Smith in the same season.
Nerds Ahoy!

| People need to be in their positions. That means ratchford at full back and monaghan on the wing. Russell isn't a good enough full back anyway. More suited to the wing and is doing a good job there.

| Widnes have four players returning to the squad including Brown, Betts will be expecting a much improved performance from his team, we could do
without another loss but more importantly regain some confidence and go forward, less of last Fridays pass the parcel stuff.
