They are based on the 1950 RL Cup Final shirt, which was the occasion of our first win at Wembley. Limited edition of 500. It was also announced today that the Man of the Match will receive The Harry Bath Medal. Harry was the skipper of the 1950 side and was strongly associated with both Clubs. Nice move by the Club.

Harry Bath was responsible after returning from Warrington to oz of introducing ball playing from a forward.
Within just a few years the total domination of international rugby league from GB had come to an end.

No offense, but that comes across as a small club mentality.

Lets put it this way, if Dr Marwan was given the opportunity to take part, he'd have snatched it with both hands and wrestled it to the floor.

I know its been discussed previously, but in terms of it being a friendly? maybe but its a chance to knock off a bunch of australians* from the very insular up their own NRL.

If we beat them, there's a very good chance that its going to malign the dragons as their media wont' let them forget that they lost to a "super league" team. Plus it'll raise our stock greatly in australia.

*This point, this is what has been lost from the full aussie tours that used to be done, the game we played against the midweek aussie team in 94, THAT is the game that hooked me, and the game that instilled in me the importance of beating aussie teams. younger kids now dont' get the same exposure in the SL era into understanding the competitive nature of the ockers and how much of a challenge it is, to knock em down a peg or two.
