It would be rough on GOB if he didn't get in the 17 after an impressive game last week. I think he'll be on the bench, but I gave up guessing who Tony Smith was going to select a long time ago. There's invariably a surprise in his selections and invariably they work out well.

I'm with you and Morrissey on this one as I think GOB played well admittedly against Bradford, he deserves a break and a confidence boost and Ratchford and even Bridge could spell at loose

| For me I would use GOB next week against London he can get his break there. Strongest team possible v Hull for me.

With the amount of injuries that we are carrying particularly up front, I wouldn't necessarily agree with you that the inclusion of GOB in the 17 with Bridge/Ratchford spelling at 13 isn't our strongest team

| With forwards down, backing the bench up with backs won't help. I'd blood more teenage forwards at this game as opposed to getting 1st team backs to play a forward position to accommodate GOB.

| Has to be the strongest team, so GOB to miss out. He can play against London next week.

| Just to move the conversation a bit ... I reckon most of our backs would do a more that adequate job at loose forward. We often ask them to carry the ball up in heavy traffic especially for two or three plays after retrieving kicks and they seem to do very well at it. The toughness of our backs is one of our real strengths. GOB in for me and it strengthens ... not weakens ... the team.

I understand your angle but cannot agree. The attacking option is fair to say they can do as you point out it is the defence where things become unstuck. Your asking smaller men to put in a shift where they will constantly face bigger men.
I think that is half Grix's problem.

| Usually I'd agree, but the fact is we can't keep watering down the experience of the 17 by blooding youngsters, particularly in an environment like the KC. The time to do it is when the backbone of experience (in the forwards in this case) is still present or back from injury.
As for Ratch at loose-forward, I'd suggest he has the classic tall and rangy loose-forward physique and that is ultimately where his future lies.

My favourite loose was Pendlebury if Ratchford is half as good as him at 13 I'd be very happy with him.
I think ideally Ratchford is a stone of muscle short of playing that role although he has the height. He needs more upper body strength to resist forwards defensively that he would ultimately have to trait.
