I got the impression that Brown could be attempting to engineer an exit from Saints....Rather than jumping he'd prefer to be pushed out of the door for financial reasons perhaps ?....Before he was offered the Saints job he was planning a return to Oz.

Interesting how there are always stories about Brown being disruptive behind the scenes but he seems to get results. Similar to Brian Smith.

He got Huddersfield to a level of performance they had not been in decades, and he has Saints one point off top spot despite having 'problems in the camp'.

If we do decide to sack Tony Smith then I had said Noble, Powell and McNamara would be my preferred shortlist assuming neither of Wane or Brown were available, but if Saints sack Brown then he definitely goes in the list for me, probably 3rd after Powell.

All he has ever wanted is an NRL job. He was the same when he was at Hudds. If one NRL club came in with an offer (if he's not sacked by then!) then you wouldn't see him for dust.

He also mentioned "staff" in his post match interview. I wonder if that was a sideswipe at Mcmanus. If it was his days are definitely numbered.

You're right, he's made no secret of it. But the Sydney media is unforgiving, for example just look at the Matt Parrish/Ray Hadley saga which is front page news at the moment over there. If he went over there would be endless replays of his antics on telly and I can't see many clubs there wanting to have their name to it with such emphasis on 'compliance' at the minute.

No, he lost the support of many of our fans after Easter with the gutless performance against Wigan, the weak side he sent to Widnes and the cup defeat at Leeds another debacle.
