| I hope, for Iestyn's sake, that the wheels fall off. A lot of players signed to play for Brian, and I can see unrest coming for them. The problem for Salford this year is that they don't have time for transition. The owner wants instant success from a new group of players, and it isn't going to happen. Instinct and skill will get you so far, but you need organisation and cohesion, especially to keep the score board down.
Iestyn deserves all he gets, let's hope he ends up at the glue factory with the rest of Koukash's scrap.

1883.jpg Didn't William Webb Ellis pick up the ball and run, someone should really tell Rugby Union.

RL fans, discussing RL topic on a RL message board. Who'd a thunk it?

| I don't get the bad mouthing of Harris on here and I was already a fan when when he burst onto the scene as a starlet in the Primrose and Blue. He is a very promising up and coming British coach and I think he will be his own man and do a decent job at Salford before moving on to a top club. The Doc needs to be careful as any 'its my club and I can do what I want club'will ultimately see the project fall apart.
Not sure where Nobby goes from here as a Super League coach. He might now have to drop down a division if he wishes to continue in a coaching role
I am interested to see what happens at Wigan now that Harris has gone. Without any evidence to support my view I think Harris contributed quite a lot to the Wigan scene which will be a loss to them.

| Im all for Harris
I wish we had of signed him as assistant to Smith with a view to taking over.
They both have a very calm attitude and both technical.

| We were in massive debt at that time. Selling Harris and Sculthorpe saved our club.

| If we were financially better of I think Harris would have stayed.
I'm not so sure about Sculthorpe. Never heard him utter a fair word about the Wire. Its all saints saints saints from him.

And??...... Warrington was merely a convenient route into Super League for him - We were p!sspoor at the time and so its acceptable he would want to forget his short time with us.
Its like Saints' fans complaining that Lee Briers doesn't exactly wax lyrical about his time with them??

I'd read his auto before you shout anymore RD
Sculthorpe doesn't slag our club off, and, iirc, he's quite complementary about us.
Harris however, is less than complementary about us, in his (soporific) auto.
Harris engineered his move out of our club, starting in the summer of 96, with some less than helpful interviews. We were still (to normal species) financially ok (maybe the club's hierarchy didn't want us to worry).
Sculthorpe brilliance (or was he and Vagana just shining in a e side) ensured he was sold, as we were definitely financially loved, and we HAD to sell.
Harris leaves a nasty taste. Sculthorpe, despite his niggles/gamesmanship against us, doesn't upset me nearly as much.

| Where Harris has been a head coach he hasn't exactly covered himself in glory. He replaced Noble at the Crusaders, where they were a playoff team, and they just fell to pieces. He's been Wales head coach but they were probably the most disappointing team at the last World Cup losing all their games to Cook Islands, USA and Italy.
I think Koukash has blown it now at Salford. I used to think he was a potentially positive influence in the game but he has done it all wrong.
Noble was the one chance he had - an actual top coach going to Salford, that would never have happened without Koukash. But his interfering, public criticising of the coach and knee jerk reacting just meant it was an impossible position even for a top experienced coach like Noble.
A novice like Harris, with Long as his assistant, is going to go the same way as Phil Veivers.
Expect the rest of the season featuring more disappointing results, Koukash getting angry on Twitter and assuring Salford fans that he is as angry as they are and he does not tolerate failure. Harris to go either by the end of the season or at the end of the season.
As for Noble I wouldn't say no to him coming to us.

| I think nobby would appreciate non interference from moran and broomhead.
Unlike Koukash and Leneghan.

| Any suggestion that Koukash is an eccentric, who loves the game, tells it like it is and is a fresh of air in a wealth of stagnation can now be finally dispelled - he's possessed of the worst kind of arrogance, surrounded by yes men, blinded by money and power and a total loose cannon.
In other words, an ideal bedfellow for Harris.
They only need Long to invite his Dad along as nutritionist and Andy Greg to pop up as conditioning coach and the asylum will be open for business, with the good Doctor welcoming all with a flourish of his twitter wisdom.
