I'd forgotten he was from England until the commentators mentioned it, but he looked very reasonable, albeit against one of the poorer NRL sides.

The NRL is superior to SL, but I have no doubt quite a few forwards could be regulars here. Some of them would actually do better than they do in SL, and some worse - dependent on how they react to playing ina more structured game.

Its unfair to compare to Tomkins though. There's a huge difference between being in a highly exposed defensive position and expected to be a major cog in an attack to being an up-and-down prop. I really don't think many SL playmakers could get more than the odd game in the NRL.

Cooper is a great defender who will get stuck in, his boxing past will mean he is no pushover too, my only concern with Cooper was his iron hands, especially on crash balls. He's a decent player with few flaws that are easy to coach out.

Watched the game, cooper looked okay. He is miles better when he just runs hard and straight instead of doing that little shimmy he does before hitting the line. As for those people who said widdop only looked good in a melbourne side containing smith, slater and cronk, he was immense. Maybe we could tempt him back to england if our half back problem doesn't get sorted this season?

What happened to Jack Cooper?

I think Jack plays for Swinton now.

Another strong game again this weekend and his first fry in the NRL. Running over the top of Sam Tomkins to score.

He's going well, isn't he.

Not bad considering a lot of our own fans said he wouldn't even get a game! He was very underrated in ESL.

His last 6 months here was his best.
His ball retention wasn't too great until then.

Scored a cracking try by bursting through Saint Sam. I've seen all the St George's games so far this season. What a season he's having all ready.

I've not seen him play but it all sound very positive for when we get him back.

I would say it's an IF we get him back. If he's enjoying life in Aus and they offer him an extended stay and a better contract he won't be back here any time soon.

Would like to see him back. I don't think he ever got enough credit for being a Warrington lad. Maybe it's because he's not from a similar area to Riley, I dunno, but I always felt Cooper didn't get the credit he deserved.

When I was at school I was in the same age group as his brother Jack, and I recall everybody believing Jack was the future player, with Mike always knocked as 'strong, but a bit slow and not big enough'. Can't believe Jack hasn't followed his lead, he's made very little progress as a pro, and he's 23 now, isn't he?

where and when can I see the NRL games. Would love to see how it compares to our game.
