Huds have the least big game experience of the 4 left right decision !

..at least this way I will have someone in the final that I will be happy to win it...Whoever wins on Thursday will be getting my support in the final....so may the best team win on the night...if its us brilliant...if its hudds I hope they go on and win the whole thing.

I agree with Scotty. Still not convinced by Wigan and Leeds looked pretty battered and were carrying a few knocks. Another bruising encounter at the DW and Leeds will be ripe for the picking ..... famous last words!!

Not taking anything away from the Udders, we will have to be on our game to beat them but we just seem to have the sign on them at the moment

I don't think there was any arrogance in the decision. It could have gone either way and making the decision so early has clear advantages. It's up to us to make you regret that decision now and for obvious reasons I hope we do!! Let's hope for a great game and see you Thursday.

Difficult call to make and 1 that should be scrapped. I can see the reason for picking Hudds result wise, but, they are rightly the champions for being consistent all season, they did not have the interruption of the CC to contend with and they are playing without having to a miss a week which is very important in my book. Leeds on the other hand, know better than anyone how to play this competition. Can't call either game with any confidence.

It's probably less likely to be scrapped now be given it credence!

And Huddersfield aren't 'champions' (yet!!).

They only played one game less than us on the CC, so dont get your point (you could argue we played the same, as we didn't really play in the semi either)

Going to be a tough game

One thing the giants recent losses to Wire is that it's taught us a lot about losing - more importantly it's shown us where we need to be better. The cup quarters loss I think we were ready to match your energy and enthusiasm but couldn't control it - since then the giants have noticeably been better focused and calmer in good positions (The Hull game being a perfect example, despite Hulls acquiescence)

Where has all this "considered the weakest" come from? You've just finished top of the table.

I'm assuming the reason we picked you is due to our recent record against you, especially in knockout competition.

As for arrogance, your fans have been full of it since you topped the table.

Damned if you pick Huddersfield and damned if you pick Leeds. You just can't win with this club call. Personally, I'd have gone for Leeds as they looked well tired after the Saints game, and hardly sparkled against a team with no half backs. Still, you have got to beat everybody at some stage, so Giants it is.

Not only did some of our fans say it was the wrong choice, other teams fans were also saying it's the wrong choice and it will come back to bite Wire on the backside.

Yet if we'd have chosen Leeds, it also would have been a bad choice because Leeds are the current champions, they have form in the playoffs and we chose them last time and got beat.

You just can't win with this. Choosing any of the two sides would have meant it was the "wrong" decision.

If we beat Huddersfield and get to the final, would people still be saying it was the wrong decision? What if we'd have chosen Leeds and got knocked out again? Would people have been saying, "oh, you should have chosen Huddersfield"?

IF Wire, Wigan and/or Leeds had gone all out to finish top rather than aim for the top four in the best possible shape, would Huddersfield still have finished top? Personally I doubt it.

Despite finishing in first place, and considering big game experience, I still think Huddersfield are the weakest of the four semi-finalists. That isn't to say they are incapable of beating us, or even going on to win at Old Trafford (of course they are), but if I had to bet my mortgage on one of the four going on to win at OT, I would bet on the other three before Huddersfield.

Nice battle for the family Grix. Their crying on the Hudds board regarding g our arrogance at picking them. It was a freakin choice of two teams. Had Hudds had club call would they not have been arrogant picking a team.
