At the final whistle I booed. The last time I did that was away at Salford on Good Friday about 6 years ago.

I did stop & clap the lads after that, but only out of loyalty & not because they deserved any applause.

You have to give Widnes a lot of credit, particularly Brown and Mellor who kicked Wire to death. They played the conditions far better.

We do lake pace, but that's not the reason we lost tonight. We had no half backs in the second half, zero creativity. I thought, with ten minutes to go, we could play for another two hours and still not score. I don't think you can blame the players that were out there on the pitch too much, they certainly put the effort in, but as a team, that's as bad as I've seen us play. I'll probably get some stick for this, but for me the blame lies with TS. Perhaps it's all part of the master plan to win the GF, and Tony was prepared to take a loss tonight, and is purely focused on preparing the team for the playoffs. He's not from Warrington, so this really was a meaningless game in the grander scheme of things, however much it hurts, and yes at the moment I'm hurting. May feel better in October though.

Putting Grix at HB with Monaghan was a terrible decision in hindsight. Needed to keep Ratch in there for me, there's only so much ball you can get at full back when you can't keep hold of it. Riley/Bridge could've gone to full back you'd have thought?

Usually the best way to show that is NOT to appear on that club's board shortly after they've lost in a game where your team wasn't involved.

We were always going to lose one of our last four... I thought it might have been Wakefield.

If I had to chose though I'd rather lose to a team with no chance of making the play offs while resting a ruck of players.

but if the club could make a call to this company tomorrow I'd feel a bit better.....
