| All the usual reasons that come up on this forum were brought up last night such as
RE season ticket sales being down...
lack of benefits to having season ticket such as dwindling special offers
games being moved at short notice meaning some season ticket holders not being able to attend
cost of season ticket ,it was suggested that a 12 month direct debit should be available to spread the cost
it was suggested that maybe a price increase on the season ticket but to include all SL play off games would work
re attendances in general
work commitments stop some people attending games especially Friday & Monday
some people felt many league games were irrelevant or uncompetitive so didn't bother going
Friday & Monday games stopped supporters travelling to games because of traffic problems ( us away & visitors to us )
the cost was also brought up with many people having to tighten their belts with the recession
There were at least 2 rooms going with about a dozen people in each & i think there were 2 sessions , one at 6 & one at 7 30. There was a university rep & an RFL rep in attendance .

| Monday Friday games, Warrington is full of factory/warehouse jobs, who usually run 3 shifts 6-2, 2-10, nights,
2-10 lot can forget Monday to Friday.
2-10, nights, normal 9-5 can also forget Monday/Friday games if they are in Hull possibly Leeds.
Finish work at 5, depending on travel get home between 5:30-6:30 then travel over the M62 especially Friday and expect to get there on time?
Season ticket to watch training sessions against Salford/London?
Sky moving games when you've made prior arrangements thus missing games through no fault of your own.

| A little more feedback from the groups in addition to the main points listed by "ninearches" above.
SEASON TICKETS:
Not felt to be value for money. Only get the equivalent of one or two games free and, considering holidays, late fixture changes and other commitments, you probably end up paying more than you would for paying for individual games. In the last season at Wilderspool the cost of a season ticket was the equivalent of 10 games.
One idea I liked (not mine!) was all clubs should agree to admit visiting fans who are season ticket holders at other clubs for a reduced price of maybe £10/£12.
MATCH DAY:
Not much of an event feel to match day. Perhaps have activities on the concourse and around stadium to keep kids entertained.
In stadium food and drink prices far too high. Combined with pre-match activities within the stadium, could encourage fans to enter stadium and spend pre-match rather than the traditional last few minutes turn-up.
Simply too expensive for children.
OFFERS:
Care needs to be taken to get the balance right between offers to attract newcomers and alienating the existing fan base. No question that new fans should always be targeted, but not so much that regular attendees are aggrieved. A tricky balance.
OTHER:
The more expensive 'Match Day' prices thought to perhaps put people off. People may not like to pay up front in case they can't make it on the day, but come match day don't like to feel they are paying over the odds.
Club website not always up to date with price information. For example, there is no option to purchase online the new seats in the North East corner.
Also, don't the club do a variety of family tickets? Couldn't find this online.
The structure of the sport was discussed in the group I attended.
The lack of competition and the opinion, whether real or perceived, that the regular rounds aren't as important any longer was a big factor. I think it was unanimous that the top eight should be reduced and the number of SL teams reduced from 14.
By the way, there have been one or two on here unhappy they weren't invited to attend. There was nothing underhand. The groups were small and were clearly full. I mailed with a couple of sentences on why I'd like to attend and was sent an invite the same day. I imagine they were full pretty much within the first 24 hours or so.

| Thanks for the minutes, interesting reading. Whilst I disagree with some of the things there quite a lot I feel the same on.
I don't normally drink once I get into the ground, but thought I would treat myself yesterday as it was the first international of the year. I couldn't believe the prices, £3.60?! I'm sure it was nowhere near that last year. Also I got a round in and got a crummy bottle, yet when my mate went down he got pints for the same price. Charging the same prices as Old Trafford is just ridiculous and things like that just give people an excuse not to bother.
