| It's sad to see our game heading this way,
Teams giving less than 100% every week
Half the season not really mattering for clubs and now a lot of fans
I've been following a guy on twitter from Oz,and our game is an absolute joke to them, and on some of it I can only agree, if you are on twitter give it a look @LeagueFreak

League Geek is just an internet troll who hates 'poms', Super League and anything to do with this country. He hasn't a clue. Don't give the sad little man the time of day.

And there in lies part of the problem. SL as a regular round competition is flawed.
Teams are less than half tilt and still make the playoffs comfortably. Im not saying Warrington will win the GF or CC but to get to the business end its generally a drab affair and pretty easy to do.
The game is not competitive. Bit by bit the rl stars are going to union or the nrl for more money, wider recognition and better competition.'"
How can you not be bothered about your teams results? I go every match home and away and if we lose it'll put a downer on my whole week! Especially with Warrington, we've been terrible/mediocre for too many years before the Smith era yet you now get people who aren't bothered when we win?! It shouldn't matter what the state of SL is.

| The scheduling of games isn't helping either. Wire should play home games on a Sunday unless its Wigan or saints then its Friday.
Am losing the incentive to go this season the hj has funny atmosphere to it this season. Just seems life less flat. Surely the players must pick up on it as well.
Used to enjoy the Sunday match routine walk to town, few beers on to the ground. Watch the game home for a Sunday roast. Now it's more of a choure not enjoying it as much.

| It is true to say that the weekly rounds hold very little value, there is no reason to get to excited if you are playing very well and there is no reason to be despondent if you are struggling. There isn't 8 great teams in the league but there are 8 slots for the play-offs, so why worry. you just need to be good for 3 games at the very end of the season, don't worry about what happened before. I think super league is in a bad spot atm, no major sponsors some of the best players i'd like to see play have gone to aus or union and more set to go.

How else do explain Leeds suddenly transforming into world beaters from also rans in the last 2 years?'"
The playoffs may spur Leeds on when they come around, but the Comp the club and this group of player's want is the RLCC.They gave a reasonable account in 2011,but 2010 and 2012 they got hammered by a good team.I honestly think it was just bad form that led to the last two seasons.Although I think the playoff should be top 5

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

| I'm beginning to think Karl Pilkington may have a point when he talks about us all having a "worry hole" and that we need to fill it with stuff.

| I've seen more good games of RL on Sky so far this season than I saw in pretty much the whole of last season. There's been some close games, there's been some onesided games - that won't change and happens in all sports.
I can't believe the amount of bitterness and self pitty on this board. Blame the play-offs, blame the league structure, blame the salary cap. Blame everything it seems except your own teams inability to win the GF. I'm sure if you had won SL last year this thread wouldn't have been created.
And did I really see someone name 'League Freak' as a credible critique of our game?

I have never understood the obcession league fans have with one sided games. Man United have been winning incredibly one sided games for years yet I don't hear complaints from their fans, or the millions of other people who watch them religiously.

| i think nearly 20 years of it, its become accepted as the status quo, even i as a non premier league football fan felt weird last year when another team, city especially won the title.
this year, it feels back to normal.

| i think if wire had won the g-f last year it would at least have given the grand final some credability ,having finished 2nd in the regular season, being pipped to the llc by one point!as for this season, personally im not too bothered about our results at present as i have learned it does not really make any diff till the back end of the season, and like other posters have stated, most teams are already resting players to keep fresh for the g-f run in,and that ,imo, have taken the edge of some games for me,its reached a point where im now not really bothered about going to games anymore, and i have been a s-t holder for more years than i care to rem!also i think we have a right to *moan* as some put it,having forked out for a s-t and end up watching meaniless early season games, also , imo,the league positons of some of the teams are false,as i think teams are not catching up with the top teams, its more like the top teams are saving there best till end of season run in to the g-f,and that for me has made the early rounds a bit pointless, from a spectators point of veiw anyway, like i say,its my own opinion, but i have to agree with the o-p,something is sadly wrong at with our game at the min.
