| Swinton are in one big mess, they have relied on D.R.players,but will have to find 17 Swinton, only players for the challenge cup.Warrington would find their D.R players cup tied if they played v Toulose.

| I am sure the league will find a way to stop anyone being cup tied if necessary. Have Swinton still got players of their own waiting in the wings to get a game but being kept out by DR lads ? TBH i wouldn't be surprised if the league finishes up with a pool of players in the not too distant future who will be sent to play anywhere on any given day ,just like an employment agency , to try & save money in the game.

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

| Putting the general Swinton issue to one side, I think Chambers should be congratulated. He's left us to take the plunge as a coach in his own right. He could have stayed in his comfort zone but he hasn't. This isn't the same as the Dual Reg issue at all and it's very dissapponting to hear supposed professional RL journalists like Andy Wilson mocking it on his dull Twitter feed.

Perhaps youi could lobby the local authortity to finance and build you a Community Stadium? Hang on a minute...
Good luck to Gary Chambers and all at Swinton

| So who's in the running to succeed GC at Wire ?
Morley or Briers in player-coaching roles ?

I agree it is a shame that the saga has overshadowed what is otherwise excellent news- another British coach stepping up to professional level. I hope that when he clears his desk at Warrington any loyalties to the club are severed, and his interests become Swinton first and foremost. Will that happen? I guess we will just have to wait and see.

| We are taking Swinton over just like Leeds took us over with Tony Smith coming as coach and then Willie Poching coming over as assistant coach. Our club captain Adrian Morley is also ex Leeds.
I don't know how our fans put up with this colonisation what happened to giving Warrington coaches or players a chance?
Next thing Kevin Sinfield or Rob Burrow will join us and I will lead the protests against our identity being stripped from us.

| From the Lions website. (I kid you not)
Quote: What a total load of b******s! " --------------------- to the doom-mongers!
We've got a new coach, he's SWINTON'S coach! The coach of your team, our team, my bloody team! So to shoot him down, when he's not yet seen a ball kicked in anger, is scandalous!, Give him the chance to prove that he can make us a top side!
Some are even suggesting that it was Wire who made the decision and not us. "What a total load of b******s!" is my answer to that!
Just imagine when you started your job, then someone who doesn't know said " You don't merit the position, as it was outside influences that got you there!" I doubt very much that you'd be impressed with the comments! I would imagine that's how Mr C feels at present!
Prove the doom-mongers wrong Gary, and...........................
COME ON YOU LIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Spelly.'"
