I thought Ratchford was your only shining light tonight.

i wanted a new hooker, and i was very vocal about it.

clark from cas is 'apparently' not interested in staying at cas and will be moving clubs shortly.

To be fair, I'm sure I read on here that you were linked with Paul Gallen and Greg Inglis.

I don't suppose it's any consolation to you but tonight we were clueless tonight against the giants.
Could be a strange season, suppose we should all keep calm and carry on.

at the end of the day tonights result matters little in the grand scheme of things.... the durability of briers and morley is a non starter... both are older players that are injured.... these injuries will give other players first team opportunities.... win or lose our squad players are getting game time, which we, as fans have been moaning about..... no point in crying when we lose.

move onto next week and be thankfull we have a club will still be in the mix at the end of the season.

I'd be pretty embarrassed if my team won the GF but came fifth in the league. It would be like saying an FA Cup win is better than winning the Premier League. No greater test of quality than the weekly rounds, only the idiotic fan base (and media) in RL ignore it.

We are not going to win Super League from 5th. Forget that daft idea.

Leeds have done it twice in a row because they are seasoned playoff and Grand Final winners, and have the players to win in those big games.

With our shaky form in big games we need to be top 2 to have a credible chance of winning the playoffs, with home games and a second chance.

This idea that we will finish 4th or 5th and then go on to miraculously win the Grand Final is a fantasy that will come crashing down when we have our playoff exit.

There will be a lot of angst on here at the end of the season. It will be seen as the end of a window of opportunity and the forecasts ahead will be very gloomy.

Sorry but Warrington where not poor tonight and neither where you totally dominated.

At times the forwards really ripped into our pack.

But it does seam that the SKY philosophy of one team great the other team poor has caught on.

I think there has been an improvement in the league, meaning that there will be more upsets, like Widnes and Hull etc.

But all teams are building towards the end of the year and hopefully if it's a good year the balance of power will ebb and flow between teams.

4 points ie 2 wins covering the top 7 is what we want as a league. Going into a game not being able to predict the winner is what we want. I hope it continues even if that means we loose a few and fans run and panic to change coaches and teams as they are not winning 48 - 0 each and every week.

Myler was your only shining star. Was superb and really stood up and tried his best.

Ratchford will never be a #6 playing like that. Seems to be an obvious FB. Where is GOB? He seems the more likely to take over from Briers.

Atkins does not look the player he was last season. Was darn average (along with Riley).

Other than that you were ok. A poor start really cost you any sort of chance. You did well second half and closed the gap, but I'd still be concerned (if I was unlucky enough to be a wire fan) about how you don't look like scoring without Briers.

This Warrington side are kind of like an amalgamation of the old Bradford and Saints sides. You have the big forwards who try to bully the opposition with aggression and a fast, aggressive defensive line. Then you have the Saints, the attacking flair and the willingness to play off the cuff and throw the ball about and the speed of the play the balls and the amount of dummy half running. As with the Saints of old, that policy doesn't always work. Sometimes it's spectacular and you look unbeatable, but when it isn't going your way the passes go to ground, the offloads don't stick and it can all fall apart. Personally I'd always be optimistic about facing Warrington without Briers, but you could have won that game tonight with a bit more composure and respect for the ball. Far too many times tonight you turned the ball over early in the set when close to our line through impatience and not being willing to build the pressure and work the gap.

we have the complete opposite without morley.

throw in the absense of waterhouse, harrison and a half monaghan and we look poor pack wise..... i think we are going to struggle this year.... i said it at the start. but i dont think we are going to win anything this season.

I can't recall a game where the quality of our passing was so poor.

I think there are more sensible comments from the Saints fans than from us on here ! It's not possible to properly assess players until the team are doing the basics of ball retention, cutting out errors and moving the ball through the backs, drawing the man etc. Add to that, we did have low energy or look"battle weary". There will be few games where we play as poorly as this.

The injuries to Morley and Briers are unfortunate, but I don't think you can claim they are more injury prone simply because they are older players. And sorry 1905, but saying we are wasting cap on injured players is plain daft. The one area you can question is the decision to stick with older players rather than supplement the squad. That was done with the best of intentions though, to give time for the younger players to come through.

I called it before kick off, our pack was substantially weaker than saints.

Wood, Cooper, Grix and a young Currie were no match for the saints pack.
Throw in an unusually poor performance by Hill and we were doomed.

Without the likes of Waterhouse and Harrison we were always going to struggle.
Our pack does NOT have the required depth im afraid.
