The schedule has changed, it was apparently put out wrong first time. The only change is that Catalan vs London is first on the Saturday, and Salford vs Widnes is first on the Sunday now.

After having teams that we beat easily Salford, Widnes or teams that we have no big rivalry with Hull KR, Huddersfield at Magic Weekends it's fantastic that Wire vs Saints is on, and as the last game on Saturday.

I've thought for a few years that Magic Weekend needed a mix up of the big matches, and for us to be on later in the day due to the numbers we take plus we tend to watch more than just our match.

Agreed, the numbers inside the stadium and the atmosphere should both be really good for both the Hull game and our game.

The only thing that we'll have to contend with is the Champions League Final, I've seen a few people mention that it clashes with our game against yourselves at MM.

It'll be interesting to see if/how it effects the crowds/viewing figures, but I suppose that's dependant on who is in the final.

On a side note isn't 'Manchester magic' a contradiction of terms?

No.

Besides, the decision has been taken to play the games in the North West. The best stadium, Old Trafford, is already used for the Grand Final and the World Cup Final. There no other suitable stadia outside of Manchester really, certainly no football clubs that have a ground worthy of it, and the CoM is ideal. Plus, as its council owned and ran, I assume it's easier to negotiate favourable terms.

I'm glad it's in Manchester again because I had a really good day out there last year and I'd never had any interest in going to Magic Weekend before.

I'd rather we had another walkover V Widnes than a hard game V Saints mind.

I've been to Murrayfield twice for The Magic Weekend and I think that having it closer for the majority of clubs is a better idea than dragging us all up to Scotland or down to Wales.

Been to all of them and had a great time at every one. The last train back to Warrington from Manchester was an experience and a half last year. I'll certainly be there again.

It's not run by MCC, City run the stadium, it's just owned by MCC.
