Exactly Chris has played most of the season with a bad knee. He will be back next season playing the great Rugby that we all know he can.

I think Laithwaite especially is ready to step up and become a SL regular, hopefully he will get the chance next season.

How about tactical progression, would next year be a good time to be transitioning between briers and mylers dominance in the team, if we're doing the same resting regime next year, should we be seeing, and expecting more from gob myler and ratch in terms of bossing the team etc.

I think we should be doing exactly this.

Maybe leave Briers and Hodgson out against a middle of the road side like Hull... and give GOB, Myler and ratchford the chance to try and control the game behind a full strength pack.

Of those out of contract in 2013, you'd say there is a decent chance the likes of Riley, Tyke and Laithwaite will also be retained. And who knows, maybe also some of Briers, Carvell, Higham, Wood and Williams. Probably a season too far though for Moz and Monas? Then you've got the likes of Mendieka, Currie, Saltonstall, Shaw, Riley (G) etc. Add in 2 or 3 top quality recruits and I think we are sorted.

So no, I don't see a problem for 2014 - just opportunities for lots of our home grown lads to push for plus the chance to import some top quality

As you'd expect there SEB, we just look a little lightweight in the front row. Everywhere else we seem almost fully stocked with plenty of choice and selection dilemma's. I'd be looking for a couple to supplement that pack, adding a bit of experience and size in that area. Hill Cooper Evans and Riley, although looks very promising, does look vastly inexperienced with about 80 first grade SL games between all of them currently. One more year from Woody & Carvs may just tick us over enough until we can find replacements.

Hill's got 30 now on his own. Cooper must have 50 or so and Riley will be over 70/80 surely, if not at 100.

I would be amazed if we didn't sign at least one player..... can anyone ever remember a SL club going from one season to another and NOT signing a new player?
