| Quote: Dropkick Murphy "A team winning it from fifth (twice) gives the play offs credibility in my opinion. If the team that finished first won the Grand Final every year there would be no point in having it.
No one wins the Super League title in September. Credit where it's due to Leeds for proving that time and time again.'"
Winning it once from 5th could be considered slightly fortunate I guess, and playing off the back of a bit of momentum at the end of the season. Winning it twice from 5th is the sign of a truly great side.

We'd all like a few more wins in the regular season, obviously. But it does amuse me watching teams playing out of their skins to beat us during the season, because they want to knock the champions off their perch. This is what the team have to contend with week in week out and that's just one of the reasons we have our fair share of disappointments in the 27 rounds. But champion sides consistently beat the best sides in the biggest games, not in round 4 or 5 or whatever other round you care to mention.
Having said that, our run of success won't last forever and someone will beat us at Old Trafford or before sooner or later. But until then there is no denying that this is a special team.

| You play the system that's put in front of you at the beginning of the campaign. Leeds played it best and Leeds won.
The system is wrong, but that's another debate. If the system had been different then Leeds (and Warrington, and Wigan) would have played it differently throughout the year.

How can you say this? Wigan had the best defence and best attack in the league?

I fully agree with this. If Warrington were to win the game he would have got the Harry Sunderland trophy! Was all over the place in attack and defence and I hope he builds on this performance and carries it on for England in the future!

| I am not, nor was I ever, gutted or disappointed about the loss last night. It was a good game and I am just happy to have finally got to old trafford. Even being unable to play at our best because of excellent leeds tactics, we still stayed in the game right the way through. We will come back next even stronger if that is possible at this point. Myler was unbelievable last night. Over the years it been first game and out, then next round and out, then gf eliminator and out, this year we made this final, the next step is a win. CC winner, 2nd in the table, and a gf appearance aint too shabby for me.

| Disappointed but not gutted. I'd have been devastated if we'd have lost by 1 point or got annihilated. Inexperience showed, but we'll be back up there. Fair play to Leeds, they were the better side. Just goes to show that you can do naff all for 27 rounds of regular season play, and then just get yourself up for 3 games in the playoffs. A very proud Wire fan here, it's been a tremendous season and hopefully more to come.
Please sign a new contract Tony, please!

Why is finishing fifth doing 'naff all' in the regular season of play? They were better than 9 of the teams in the league and finished well within the play off limits - 5/8? We finished just ONE loss behind third place. We weren't better than 4/14 teams, which is why we didn't win the league, and didn't deserve to. However, we won the Championship by being better than 7/8 teams - and that we did deserve. I do wonder, if we finished 4th and still won what people would say the play off system needed to be changed to, then.
Anyway, congratulations Wire on a fantastic season. I loved the game and was terrified about it going either way until the last few minutes. People underestimate how pressure affects a game, and Leeds had the invaluable experience to pull them through it - but Wire will be back up there, and with that experience who knows what you're capable of? Also, thank you for all the great fans I met and spoke to. If we'd lost to you I wouldn't have been devatasted like I would if we'd lost to Wigan - you and your fans deserve it.

The thing is, if it were that easy, someone else might actually do it once in a while. It's all well and good saying you only have to get yourself up for 3 games, but if you're not good enough to beat those teams, you can be as 'up for it' as you want, but you won't win. This is a quality side, make no mistake about that.
