"The Warrington people hadn't had success for a few years, but there's no speccy in the world as good. They are very knowledgeable and appreciative of hard work. What they like is honesty. They want the team to try; if they fail they fail, but they expect honesty. They know when players don't put it in."

Tomkins deserves it. Wigan topped the league - who do you think that was down to? Take him out of their side and they are behind us, Saints, Cats and Leeds.
I know we all love Ben Westwood and he's a great player but he's missed a fair few games this season and we have generally been OK without him, it's not like taking Tomkins out of Wigan.
Westwood is not as influential an individual as Tomkins.

Don't be bitter, when the shortlist was announced all three were deemed worthy.
Lad's deserved it, the fact Wigan have lost every game Tomkins hasn't played in this season says something.
Would have loved Super Ben to get it but all 3 players have been fantastic.

Can't argue with Tomkins winning it. He's carried Wigan's attack all year. Without him they're lost in attack.

I think they (Wigan) will be relying on Tompkins even more next year...god help them if he gets injured or worst...leaves the club. |

Club of the year takes everything into account, youth development, on-field performance, community work etc, and is voted for by the other clubs. |
