I don't know about that. There were 7000 at Wigan last night and there are very similar empty seats at Leeds now.
These games are no bigger than the early rounds of the Challenge Cup. Plus not everyone can afford tickets for every game.

Not to mention that the South Stand is the cheaper of the 3 stands.
But hey, let's not let facts get in the way of another ridiculous rant by Padders.

| Quote: Saddened! "How does this reflect on Tony Smith though? Pure panic ball football in the play offs again? You've got to respect possession and territory in these games. The Grand Finals are usually tight affairs and you can't make mistakes in those or you lose (As Meli has proven so many times). Smith has to take some of the blame for that surely? The game plan is all wrong, unless that was all down to the players themselves, which I can't believe given it was the likes of Briers, Monaghan and Atkins doing it. In the Play Offs you've got to put the hard work in first, establish the territory and dominance of the game and then once you've done that those Hollywood passes would come off. Warrington didn't do that, it was just mindless offload, offload, offload whether there was anything realistic on or not.
Atkins had a shocker, but your pack was trounced, which is more concerning. You need Westwood back ASAP as the rest can't cope without him. Is Morley fit? He looks so out of form and mentally shot.'"
A player of Morley's experience and standing in the game Mentally shot..?? i've heard it all now...
We had an off night it happens...! By that i mean the whole team..

| Too much dropped ball did us no favours ,Saints did to us what we have done to other teams, they got in our faces & didn't allow us to play so the runners couldn't get into the game properly. To me Ratchford didn't look fit especially when he dropped out after Hodgson had gone off .Hopefully Atkins will have a stormer next week & hopefully in the following round if we get there. What stuck in my mind though is that the last time the team were convincing was the week of the 2 league wins at Saints & against Wigan , even at Wembley they weren't at their best.
Once Saints got into there stride after half an hour it looked like there would be only one winner.

I wouldn't normally agree with Padders, but I've expressed concerns about this, and it could well be right. Saints were outstanding, congratulations to them, but we had no answer. Their line speed was incredible and ours wasn't, instead we looked tired and confused. We did this to everyone last season - do we not have a game plan for if it happens to us?
That's what it looked like to me - plan A or bust. Long passes, offloads and a fairly flat line are a terrible idea against such a defensive effort, but it seems to be all we did, and Briers should have been dropping back further as soon as we saw how quickly they were putting pressure on him (and only him, since despite having 3-4 other good kickers he kicked pretty much every time, so they didn't need to pressure anyone else).
Our plan A is great and I love watching it when it's working, but we desperately need some backup plans when it doesn't work, and have done all season.

Is that it, you just had a bad game? You are not telling me Morley was his usual self tonight? There was no power, none of the effort to put the big shot in when you were being dominated to try and change things around.

Perry's performance just was invigorating.

The whole team had a bad day at the office..I understand you may want to have a cheap shot at Morley for all he's achieved in the game but he wasn't the reason Wire didn't perform tonight...!

Perry was Wires MOM at one stage. Thought he was doing his best to give penalties and ball away.

I dare say his errors took the pressure of us.
Just not at the races today, dust ourselves down and focus on next week.
We missed Westwood.

| Thought we were terrible but I really thought the ref completely spoiled the game.Shortest 10 yards I have seen in a long time and holding down by both teams. We were overpowered by a saints pack but lets not forget we were missing 2 of the 5 from the start then lost carvell.Hopefully the bad performance we needed to get a little focus back

| A very poor performance tonight. You would think that after 2 years together Atkins would be able to pass to his winger???
Richie Myler offers very little creativity and doesnt control the game as a number 7 and needs to step up as that is what we bought him for. But I don't see him doing that. Time to look elsewhere
I could say more but I am sure it has all been said before on this forum about various players

| You were poor tonight but the result ultimately doesn't matter and probably does you a favour - you could play far worse than tonight and still do Hull over and then I reckon you'll be under less pressure and weight of expectation with the semi being at LP than you would at the Flatpack. I'm a bit disappointed with the win tonight as I reckon we have the beating of you once in the playoffs but not twice. I'm hoping that your various injuries last a few weeks longer and that Atkins continues his run of form...
