That is all in the past so he should now find a regular place on the team.'"
I don't know what he did in 2010. Care to enlighten ?

| Quote: Winslade's Offload "Watching the match again I got to thinking that there was much to admire in the opening try;
We had the confidence to offload, but Leeds didnt.
Then Chris Hill taking the ball in a bit of space, but rapidly changing direction to wrong foot their defence. The consistent yardage he has made all season seems to be down to the way he sidesteps to find small gaps in the defence.
Then when Myler gets the ball, who should turn up on his left but Hodgeson. His field placement and timing have been amazing all season, he just seems to know where the ball is going to be. He tried to give Myler space and options by shooting left.
Then the vision by Myler to see Joel in space. That was simply superb, because it was not just the move, but the fact that he executed it perfectly in a cc final in front of a massive crowd. And you had to think that he can replicate in years to come.
I think that try will stay in my memory for a long time, and I regret voting early in the best try competition now.'"
Try of the season for me the lead up play and the vision for the kick was top draw and the best try I have seen for quite a few seasons not just this one

| Wasn't Myler dropped for his lightweight defence and the games leading up to the 2010 CCF other teams tactics were to target Myler and run over him?

spot on it was a kick up his booty to improve his defense as the opposition just ran through him.

| That is one area in which Myler has made the most noticeable change, if he was one on one with players like Crabtree or Soliola i wouldn't even worry a bit.

| I think it was also perceived that Leeds would be so fearsome at Wembley in 2010 that an experienced player would be a safer choice in a pivotal position than a youngster no matter how good he was.

| It was a shock at first but Jon Clark for all the stick he got is a player who can tackle.

Was it? I can't recall Tony Smith ever confirming this.

In the pre-match build up interview on the BBC he said (to paraphrase, I can't remember the exact wording) "Richie's got a few areas to work on at the moment, a lot of teams have been bullying him a bit lately"

| Why would he, look at the games previous to that final, he was getting targeted when we defended the goal line. His defence at the time was the weakest aspect of his game, and Leeds of 2010 were a lot better than this team and would have exploited that, the only logical conclusion to that was his suspect defence(at the time it was) was the reason he was dropped. Before the game everyone thought it was going to be tough and tight, and i'm sure TS was looking for the strongest defensive team he could.
Hey i could be wrong but i'd like to think my theory was better than some of the other conspiracy theories on here.
Why do you think he was dropped PY?

I think TS was resting him for last Saturday. And you have to admit he looked fresh and put in a great performance.
