| Quote: Paul2812 "Leaving East Manchester at 7am on Friday morning. Going straight to the Harry Potter Studio Tour at Elstree. Have 2 nights booked at The Village in Elstree. May get the train into London on Friday evening to go on the Big Wheel. Saturday is a nice lie in, a Full English, Wembley and then hopefully spend the evening celebrating. Sunday is a lie-in followed by a leisurely drive home.'"
Only 5 mins from my house, never been on the tour though, you'll have to let us know what it's like

| Previous years have included dressing up as Bananman and drinking to excess. This year, the ladies are coming along so Im going to be sensible. Driving down on the Saturday and staying overnight in Borehamwood...... and maybe a shandy or two.

Avoid the A to Z Hotel in Acton at all costs. Stayed there in 2009. Twinned with Beirut. I couldn't have found a worse hotel. I only go down for day now as I don't particularly like London or the people that live there.

A very good friend of mine always uses this line.

| Train to Euston, Tube from Euston Square to Wembley Park then probably go the Torch or maybe just get a few cans from the offy and sit off in that area between the bottom of the steps and the Premier Inn for a couple of hours.
After the match Tube back to central London and either head to Carnaby Street for a bit of shopping if we've got time or just head straight to Euston if we haven't, then train home.

| Coach from Wilkies, with Mrs G (her first Wembley)
Probably open the first Stella around tenish (no, I'm not talking about the sport that Sean Connery thinks Andy Murray plays)
A few more around the stadium
Mr hipflask (filled with a nice malt) for inside the ground
Back on the coach for a few more Stellas
Guest ale at Wilkies
Tayef for the way home

Monitoring outside for the people inside: |
|
| Me and my lad driving down on saturday morning (daughter and son-in-law not going this time due to her being almost ready to drop). Book into Ramada Watford then train to Wembley. Last two occasions hung around the bar where the coaches drive in, might try somewhere different this time.
Nando's in Wembley for tea then back to hotel. Hopefully celebrate in bar but if anything like last time was so knackered we fell asleep watching MOTD.
Back to Wireland on Sunday in time for the lads return regardless of the result.

| Leave Warrington about 6:30 Friday evening and get to my sister's house in Watford about 9:30. Few beers and stay overnight.
Train from Watford Junction to Wembley Central - few beers in Wembley High Street visit the chippy and then watch Wire beat Leeds.
Back to Watford for a few beers whilst watching Watford beat Birmingham on Sky that evening.
Perfect weekend!

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |
