| Am I not right in thinking that Gerry Helme was the only player to have won the Lance Todd trophy (we are talking about Wembley after all) for decades?

| Sean Long .. 3 times
Andy Gregory.. 2 times
He was the only Warrington player to win it twice.

| But Helme got his second in 1954 and it wasn't done again until 1990. He's got to be a contender.

| Do we REALLY need one.
Let's be honest, Wembley is a footy stadium, with RL played there, once a year (yes, it's a magical place for our major cup comp, but, it's not a RL ground).
Where do Wembley draw the line,
One for Bob Geldof (for Live Aid)
One for Genesis, for doing 4 consecutive nights, there, and a bigger one for Michael Jackson for breaking that, a year later.
One for Harvey Smith, for Horse of The Year
and one for Evil Kineval and Eddie Kidd.
Wembley is GREAT day out for us RLers, but we don't need a statue there. It's a bit "small time" for me

Shaun Edwards.
If the statue is just about Wembley then it should have been him. If it's a statue to commemorate RL then it should be a group one.

Yes so would I but that's not what the statue is about is it.
Not understanding the relevance makes you the knobber matey.

| If there were two players now identical to Murphy and Offiah who would you want in your team if you could have only one, if the answer isn't Murphy, then you're either a blind Wiganer or know nowt.
Two different positions they maybe but i know who would command a bigger fee and who would make the most impact on the game.

| Murphy for me. Won there with three different teams and played there in three different positions. Also a Rugby League man through and through.

But would you have him on a stretcher, or stood continuously off side?
