It's only Wane's version of mind games, and it's been done just as amateurishly as Ferguson does it at The Swamp.
At the start of last season's Premiership "we're looking forward to battling it out with Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs" (someone missing, eh, Taggart)
And, at the Champions League Final of 2011 "we're hoping to increase our wins, so we're nearing the big boys, Real, Bayern, Milan and Ajax" (no Liverpool then).
Taggart (like Wane) comes out with these "pearls of wisdom", to wind people up. Looks like he's succeeded (in some quarters). Let Wane say what he wants. He knows we're his teams biggest rivals, now. Let him make a tool of himself at press confrances. Mind you, he already does that, every time he opens his mush. He sounds like he's speaking with a mouthful of gobstoppers. Laughable.

If we win on Sunday and we play Wigan in the final, then i'd expect more of the same. It's just mind games so ignore him. I'd love nothing more to see Wigan lose tomorrow, just like all the other fans on here, but I really can't see that happening. We can all hope though.

Well it would have been to wordy in an interview to say 'we've beaten all the big teams except warrington beat us oh and so did huddersfield and a struggling Bradford, come to think of it bottom club Widnes beat us to but it was close! anyway we just need to be mentally......' It just wouldn't flow the same so i don't think it was a sleight.

In another sport, a manager of a big club who play in red also said "we've played and beaten all the big clubs so far this season" just a few weeks before getting absolutely trounced by the eventual champions.
