Obviously I can't see the North Stand, but the rest of the ground barring the away end always looks pretty full to me. It feels like more of a stadium and it doesn't look any more empty, possibly the south stand is just as busy but has a little more room to spread out most games. The one thing I have noticed is that the away support seems to be a lot less for most teams that aren't local. Sign of the times I guess.

| North Stand looked pretty full from the East, can't really see the NE corner though. Agree with the West thing, should we be doing more to try and get away fans in? Even Wigan and Saints don't fill it these days, there's always a fair amount of wire in there. Join up the SW corner maybe and encourage more wire to go in there?

I'm not sure how to draw more away fans in other than lower ticket prices, but then why should we "reward" the occasional fan? I think it's more to do with fuel prices and people just cutting back more. I've had to drop my VP season ticket this year, and I'm just paying to go to the games I can afford. I haven't been to an away league game other than Wigan/Saints for two years now due to job losses in that time. I'd imagine there are alot of people in the same boat.

He is doing a lot right Bobby; Tony Smith and the rest of the coaching staff rate him as do his teammates so that tells you he is doing more than alright!!!

| The majority of tickets not sold Sad one are for the away end, some seats empty in the new seated corner and West side of the North but other than that, good 'home' crowd., West was practically empty, big gathering under the sticks but that was it.

Monas in spells ran at their line then passed when Mickey does that he tends to scoot into the line and I feel that is what the players are expecting , that said Monas was outstanding in defence and we have been lacking in that area recently

| There was still room in the South Stand towards the East with quite a lot of space around there. I think the attendance was actually more than 10,500 though, I didn't think you would have been able to fit another 5000 in there.

| I thought Saddened's question was a fair one, our crowds are good but as we expected it isn't a case of 'build an extra stand and more fans will appear'. The full capacity was never likely to be hit for games other than Wigan, Saints or possible hubcap-clinching games, so the club will have to work harder to make the investment worth it.

| Thought Carvell was the best forward in the pitch by some distance yesterday.
Obviously the backs get the credit for your great tries out wide but when that structure is in place the quick PTB from the tackle before that play by your props just left us not been able to number up right on the flanks.

My answer Saddened, is that the ST numbers are up around 7% on last year, but I think travelling support is down due to fuel costs, the recession and an increasing trend for supporters to 'not travel'. I found your own attendances quite interesting when your new stadium was being built. Despite the fact that it was not far away, your own supporters didn't seem to turn up in large numbers IIRC.
Clubs such as Wigan, Leeds, Saints have had success over a long period of time and consequently their support has gradually built. Wire have only been really successful over the past few years so it will take time to fill the stadium I think.
Of course if Wire are successful, by definition it means that one of the other big clubs are not. In consequence their support will start to dribble away, just like happened to Bradford ( remember their 14,000 crowds when they were winning). That could easily happen to Leeds or Saints eh Saddened ?

| As pedantic this may sound, after a decent win, the consistently unerving facet of our play is the quality of our passes. The first half especially was really quite poor, I am not sure how much the wind impacted on this, but it seems we can't quite get to our attacking best and it is this reason I belive to be the root cause.

| think we play our best most attractive Rugby when we have Myler and Briers in the half back roles together.

Of course, it wasn't a criticism, more a question of your opinions about the seeming plateau in your crowds. The point about away crowd numbers in decline is a very valid one. At Saints we're mighty lucky we had this season at the new ground, I shudder to think what our average would have been at KR with the rugby we've been subjected to over the last few seasons. We're averaging 14,643 so far, with one of the two genuinely 'big' games to come (You lot), but it could easily have been half that at KR. It'll be mighty interesting to see how that holds up next season once the new pad novelty has worn off.

The attendance figures for Saints are excellent, clearly they like the ground and new facilities. From what I have seen of the 'back room', Wire work very hard to bring in revenue with promotions, events and merchandising. I suppose marketing is a big expertise area for Moran, so he brings a lot to the table as well as his money. And yet, the crowds are not exactly shooting up. I think from memory our average 2011 attendance is 3000 below yours for this year. So it's a concern.
