Things I learned on 11/08/12
Gareth Hock can't pass
Gareth Hock can't run
Gareth Hock can't fight

Although that sounds like a reasonable offer, in reality I doubt it will inspire many. Those who want replica shirts have probably already got one, and those who aren't bothered are unlikely to be motivated by a £10 reduction - bearing in mind that will still make them £35 and they'll be out of date in a few months.
Huddersfield will bring about 4000 to the semi I reckon which isn't a bad following.

| It will be a good day either way, just sad that their following isn't as big as it used to be.

Don't worry about the atmosphere, we managed at great one at the last semi final when there were only about a hundred Catalans fans. Should be a few more Hudders than that I'd think.

| Disappointing sales from Hudds yes - but also from us! What have we had so far? 6,600 - and still not sold out? We took 10,000 two years ago and no doubt if we get to Wembley there will be the usual exaggerations of us having 30,000 fans.
So why are we taking our time filling a 12,000 stadium? Are the ticket prices too high? Is it the unknown factor of the new stadium and travel / parking uncertainties? Other factors?

| People who only ever attend finals cosying up to their season ticket friends getting good seats while the people who don't have a season ticket can't sit with the usual Wire lot...
... oh that's not the game we're playing.
People thinking it's a forgone conclussion given Hudds form and arrogantly saving their money for the final?

Very poor choice of venue,,, nothing but bad reports on other forums from fans who have been.
Deffo put many part timers off.
Widnes was the logical choice but Salford get the game WHY ????

| I think Widnes' (i)njury pitch might have been an issue plus in terms of fair distance it's about as even as you can realistically get.

| Salford was the obvious choice because it's as close to being in the middle of the two towns as you can get without playing at Stalybridge Celtic's ground.

| As has been said before by some on here, no ambition by the RFL in the venue choice resulted in a 1 ticket per ST holder policy. Some non ST holders will not/not be able to go because they cannot be with their ST holder friends or family. As an example, my wife (no Season ticket) wanted to go but she couldn't get a ticket at the same time as me and my Son so hence won't be going. The only option for us was to wait until they went on general sale and to buy seated tickets but there was a risk that they could of sold out by that time (Plus we wanted to stand). There are a number of people in the same situation. So it's entirely possible that we could end up with 9-10k in a 12 k stadium where we could have had 13-14k in an 18k stadium (Langtree Park). I think that one of the reasons for this policy is to have a full/nearly full venue for the TV screens. Is that really more important than getting as many bums on seats as possible?

| A sign of the times that a CC semi final is not considered a big game for the Wire !!
I had my ticket on day of release - not missing occasions like these, glory days

| After visiting the ground tonight thank God I've got a seat for the semi.
2,500 tickets sold for terracing behind the sticks looks like a bit of a squeeze to me.
