| The pies are playing well and they are the form side ripping teams like we were last season. They appear to have progressed since last season whereas the jury is out on us....we're doing OK but not looking as sure as we were a year ago in our performances.
Interesting question is why are Wigan better than us?
Is it because they have a better squad of players?
Or are they better coached?

id say they are better coached than last year,,under mcguire they were niggle niggle niggle..this season they are much faster in the tackle and to release and much faster at the ptb..there are still the odd little moment but that happens with most teams, just hope they blow themselves out by the time we meet the so and so`s next..which i believe they will

| Nothing as complicated as you suggest Sally.
Confidence plays a big part, will they suffer from blowing away teams like we did last year? We got caught out as we hadn’t had enough close games last year, and I think we paid the price. TS learnt from 'that game' and told some of our players to be below par at the start of the season, to make the games closer and therefore we have learned from those games. Remember; you can be the best team all season, and finish top of the league, but you win nowt for that.

If you're going to be a smart and criticise other people's grammar, at least try to do it without making an error yourself. Try looking at your reply and see if you can find the missing comma.
Next, instead of trying to patronise other people, look at what you have typed below and see if you can see your own errors. It really is embarrassing to be so critical of other people's grammar when you make such mistakes yourself.
By the way, is it true that Albert couldn't fasten his own shoe laces laces?
Nothing as complicated as you suggest Sally.

| Even John Wells got in on Clarke's act last night, saying that Wigan have been comfortably beating all of the top teams this season.
They have been very good though. I'm looking forward to some epic Wigan-Wire battles towards the end of the season.

| Wigan No 1 side this season on top form. Wire No 2 side this season not yet played as well as in 2011. Should be the two sides to contest the finals but we know where that thinking takes you. In any event Wire need to improve if we're to beat Wigan again this year.

| Round 16 2012 Leeds 8 Wigan 50
Round 15 2011 Leeds 4 Warrington 42
2012 at Round 15, Warrington played 15, won 11, lost 3, drew 1
2011 at Round 15, Warrington played 15, won 11, lost 4.
Wigan are the form team at the moment in Super League and are battering other Top 8 teams.
September and October are a long way away. Even the cup semis are six weeks away.

Got to agree there is a long way to go. A lot of things can come into the mix, suspentions, injuries, loss of form, tiredness & the effect of the exiles matches
The 1 thing we have in our advantage is that we are 2nd without hitting top form & with the youngsters coming through are able to rest players to be fresh @ the back end of the season

| I think injuries will still play a big part in where the silverware goes. Wigan have had injuries and suspensions in the forwards and wingers and have coped with that very well. They have manqged to keep 1,6,7,9 and 13 fit most of the time though. We have been the opposite with most of the forwards, centres and wingers not missing too many games (solo and Ben H apart). I dont like to see players sidelined but If wigan lost Sam and say Finch or Tommy they may find it more difficult.
If they stay fit they will be difficult to stop.

| It will be interesting if we can keep this up although we have been rotating players fairly regularly (both forced and unforced) whereas i think last season Warrington played almost the same 1-17 week in week out. (please correct me if im wrong)
Last year i think Warrington got unlucky in the SF, bounce of the ball maybe and you would have won, there was probably some element of burnout, although you were still a classy team.
I think Leeds can still turn up on the day for a big game, they are however spent as a force that can win week in week out, they might not even finish in the 8 at this rate.

| Wigan are on fire at the moment but if you watch closely, the move that is killing teams is similar to one of ours in that they have a dummy runner who draws in the gap, the ball is passed just as he comes level with the ball player and then is repeated a second time by which Wigan have either scored with the first dummy runner play or use the second one which is usually Tomkins receiving in the hole
Its really effective and no-one bar us have defended against it. It blew Sts & Leeds away but Wigan execute it to perfection with the timings of the passes. A second later would be called as obstruction.
Couple this with then aggressive defence - two men tackling and the third coming in low down (which still needs looking at) and then each man slowly peeling away in the tackle giving the line time to form and they become hard to beat.
Although effective this year, I haven't seen a plan B from Wigan - although they haven't really needed one yet. Our game at the piedome, we stopped them using this tactic of drop off deep attacking and they had no plan B, hence the kick at goal tactic whilst they scratched there heads. A good team with a good coach will stop Wigan. We are both and the matches to be played yet this year should be stunners.
