Unfortunately we seem to have our fair share of muppets, who have probably not got a clue about the game, following us nowadays

Fat blokes in the mud, flat caps, bogs that drain pi55 directly onto your boots - Now it's all 'Big Ask', 'Arm Wrestle', 'Collision' 'Contact' 'Facials' 'Upper Body Strength' 'Big Units' 'Scooting from Dummy Half' 'Energy Levels' 'Laying the Platform' ‘Middles’ and 'T-R-Y'. Totally out of order , however I discussed this with one of the Wire fans there and there was a cheer for Harrisons's return who replaced Trent at the time.

I think they were probably the same people who called for Matt King to be hung drawn & quartered, after being tarred & feathered a few years ago. People who know nothing about the game. I heard it and was embarrassed by it.

This was my take on it too, not that they cheered Waterhouse off, more applauding Ben Harrisons return.

Now that is ironic! The same people were slagging off Benny Harrison at the back end of last season.

If that's the case, why did the same deadheads boo when his return was announced?

The Wire and Tranmere Rovers you can't go wrong [quote="Rogues Gallery":3kmnmmz2] A very good friend of mine always uses this line. "If Saints were playing for my life, I'd still want them to lose"[/quote:3kmnmmz2]:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_63027.jpg

Trent is one of many of our players who isn't in the best of form. Booing our own is out of order, whatever the reason we don't want 'support' like that.

I wouldn't boo our players but to be honest people get too worked up about this, fans pay their ticket prices and are entitled to have their opinion. Obviously you don't want obscene personal abuse but if someone wants to voice their opinion on whether a player is good or bad that's part of the game, players put themselves up to play in front of an audience and thats what comes with it, it's like being a stand up comedian you are going to get hecklers if you are no good.

When people say Wire fans were hypocrites because they booed Matt King in his first season and then hero worshipped him after that, thats because King wasn't that good in his first season and after that he was quality so its not really hypocrisy its just that our fans are harsh critics and expect high standards.

Waterhouse isn't a kid making his first team debut, he's a top player whose played at representative level in Australia and was one of the top performers in the NRL and from the evidence of NRL forums their fans are not exactly politically correct when it comes to voicing their opinions on players who are struggling for form, so he's not going to have heard anything here that he hasn't heard in Aus.

I really have never understood the argument about people having paid their money and being entitled to voice their opinion. We all have opinions and that’s what following a team is all about. But that argument is typical of the sports fans as a consumer. We are part of the event, rather than mere bystanders. We are there to help the team during matches. We are supporters, not customers. So, if, things don’t immediately go our way against Cas (or any other game), as they might not, we have to stick with the team. If a player makes a mistake, let’s get behind him and encourage him rather than compound the error by sending anxiety his way the next time he’s on the ball or got an opposition player running at him. We have a team of good lads, they don't want us to lose and booing them will only make things worse.

I am concerned as to his fitness level. In recent games he seems to spend a good deal of time with his hands on his knees gasping for breath. If he is not fit for whatever reason he should not be playing. He played well at the beginning of the season but his form has taken a nosedive in recent matches. However the "fans" who booed him should be ashamed of themselves.......

I don't know if you are fishing or not. You usually are. I suppose that comes with the territory of you being such a good master baiter.

I don't agree with you opinion of paying the ticket and gatting cart blanche; as well as you're parrallel witha stand up comedian.

Firstly, the pay your money, say what you want attitude. We'll ignore the ruining the experience for other paying people and the obvious lack of class. It is also ultimately detrminetal tot he team. The guy has come over from Australia and is adapting (australia where it is a lot more queit in the crowd than here) and the last thing we need is a bunch of brain dead fans shooting his confidence up the wall because they don't understand what it is like to see Wire out of form.

Secondly, the stand up comedian thought. Apart from the fact that they are completely different feilds and chances ar that Trent has been working for 25 years at his trade, while a comedian has been working maybe 3 or 4 for both to be used to the same abuse. What I am saying is that a comedien's job (in most cases) is to be quick and ready for heckles and booing. If they can't do that then they are uselsss- while trent's primary job is playing rugby and shouldn't have to be booed. He isn't trained or equiped to deal with such abuse from the fans. He is jsut trying to do his job.

Now this may be making Trent out to be a softy and chances are that he is fine. But, I still find the implications of and rudeness of chanting at him to be disgusting. If he took drugs and gauged a player's eyes and confronted a referee and/or threw a ball at a child, so be it. but he is just doing his job to the best of his ability at the moment and people are getting on him. A better job anology would be a concert pianist. In fact, I bet ont one person boos a runner at the olympics. I bet no onehas booed Oxford or Cambridge at the boat race.

Any way, if Daniel Anderson wants him in the team, that'll do for me.

This sums it up for me. I hate the idea that if you pay your money you can act like a moron. Being half drunk and ignorant often adds to the problem. We all want Warrington to do well but "creating anxiety" as mentioned above really does not help at all.

waterhouse has had to do a lot of defending in his first few games here as have the rest of the forwards. I think our left edge is taking a bit more of a pounding than our right edge and that was clear from the first game at Hull away. Teams are targeting Mylers side more than they didlast year. Teams know they will get very little change out of Westwood, Bridge and Monaghan. Louis anderson also had the luxury of Solomona coming on after 25 minutes to cause havoc down the left, Waterhouse may not have that when you factor in fewer interchanges. I am not a big one for Stats but when compared with another left second rower (Gaz Hock) he has made nearly 100 more tackles in one game less. The fella deserves a break but he is a big name aussie so unless he is scattering bodies every time he takes a hit up he will be looked upon as a failure to the wire faithful. When you look at some of the big name aussie forwards we have had here do we expect too much from them?
