| It follows Hull Fc's recruitment policy perfectly. Paying former stars alot of money to end their career there.

| ellis will be one of the best if not the best 2nd rower in the league, i dont think we need him as we are strong in that position but it is a very decent signing and is showin that hull are trying to improve their squad in the right direction.

Remind me how old Morley, Hodgson and Briers are. Surely you only need to look at your own team to see its about getting the right blend of youth and experience.

| Well played to Hull for getting a bag named player in... Nice to see a player choose ambition over money.
From a wire point of view we were never in the race for him. With waterhouse having signed a 3 year contract and Benny Westwood being head and shoulders the best 2nd row in superleague, we have no need for Ellis whatsoever.
Im sure that kind of salary will be spent in other, more deserving areas of the team by Sir Tony.

| Well done to Hull its exactly the type of signing that will signal some ambition under their new owners, it gives their fans something to look forwards to after some frustrating years. I don't have an issue with the age, many many of the best signings have been guys in their 30s - just look with us at the form that Hicks, Hodgson and Morley showed, all of whom were supposedly past their best, going further back Langer and Davies were world class in their mid 30s. Ellis is a guaranteed performer and will set a great example. Also going back to being a signal, Ellis is a change in culture, recently Hull had been the club that signed all the troublemakers and people with problems off the field, getting Ellis in will help clean up their brand image.
I know lots of other fans will try to rubbish it but thats what you get when you show some ambition, remember when Simon Moran was pushing the boat out bringing big gun players to Warrington, there were plenty of cynics back then, we wiped the smile off their faces though.

| Great signing for Hull and a top player. But I agree that Wire don't need him due the depth at Second Row.
