Things I learned on 11/08/12
Gareth Hock can't pass
Gareth Hock can't run
Gareth Hock can't fight

I also thought the VR should have cancelled out Westwoods try and should not have cancelled out the Leeds try that Kylie allegedly obstructed a Wire player.
For me Kylie did not stop the defender nor did he make contact so try every time.
But no doubt if I watched from the comfort of my lounge I would probably have a different view.
Out of interest who do the Wakefield fans blame every Monday?
The RL for letting them stay in SL maybe.'"
The ref was pretty spot on tbh.
The Briers 'forward pass' and the Hands in the play of the ball that was quickly changed to an offside was another big mistake. other than that they were tiny.
As has been said, both VR decisions were spot on.

What I am saying is that if you heard someone speaking like that ,then they are not born and bred Leeds people ,the person you heard or may not have heard speaking like that could not have possbly be a LOINER a LEEDS person because that is not the Leeds vernacular. What you may or may not have heard is the vernacular of the old mining arear's and they would never root for a cosmopolitan city of 750'000 people.Either you are lying or you heard a rare Cas ,Wakey or Fev person supporting Leeds,But you have never heard a Loiner saying thee or tha ,have you SCOUSER?

I think what you're actually saying is that the referee was biased and that any evidence to the contrary must be a 'falsehood', to use your term.
I live in London, I don't need to be born in Warrington to watch them.
I assume from your dopey comment you think only birth certificates from Leeds town hall are accepted to obtain a Leeds season ticket.
Get thi sen home Grimthorpe !

| to be fair if i was going to write a wire match report it would be the most one-eyed, over blown wire love-in and would be entirely disparaging to the other team
then if a speccy from the other team turned up and started claiming it was biased i'd be like "yes... and your point is?"
i remember the commentator from the video highlights on the old warrington site would literally be shouting things like "com on wire!" and i don't think it ever crossed my mind that i wanted him to be less biased
how dull would life be if everything was sterile and objective? the lad's written a great match report from the point of view of a leeds fan, live and let live

Leeds has been cosmopilan since about 1880 ,that is why the leeds accent is not the accepted yorkshire dialect. You should hear Castleford aiming their antisemetic chants at Leeds

| As a Leeds resident I would back up lionarmour, to say that the Leeds accent is that broad Yorkshire 'thee or tha' is like saying the Manchester accent is like Paddy McGuinness or Vernon Kay. The Leeds accent is like Garry Schofield or Ellery Hanley.
Also what lionarmour says about being more cosmopolitan is true, although Leeds isn't exactly London. A lot of the smaller towns in Yorkshire that people make fun of as being inbred are basically the same communities that they have been for centuries, people that 'make it' in life might leave but nobody moves there, whereas Leeds is a place outsiders move to like I did.
Leeds is also a far better and more interesting city to live in than Warrington. Warrington centre feels like it's dominated by young chavs, teenagers and booze Britain, Leeds has its fair share of neanderthals but there's also a lot more class to it than you get in Warrington.

Your comment about Warringtons town centre residents betrays your ignorance.
Warrington is a huge place and much more than the town centre.
However as I found myself this weekend Leeds is an interesting place to visit, and the fish market is worth a look.
But it's also full of chavs and nerdowells like most towns in our fair land.
