| Craig is an unassuming supporter who cringes at being labelled a “Superfan” or the suggestion that he should be rewarded by the club for his commitment. He never, ever mentions his feat to anyone and will only talk about it if repeatedly badgered to do so.
It’s inevitable that he will be labelled “sad” by some, but if you think that a home game demands three hours, and the average away game, about five or six hours of your week, and Wires play for only eight months of the year, I dare say that many other people spend far more time, on average, spouting their opinions on internet rugby league forums, which by the way, is something Craig never does. Who’s the sadder?
It’s the same with the “Awww, bless him” attitudes, which intimate that a more rewarding and socially acceptable use of 20+ years of one’s life is to get married and raise a family. They should note that there are many who view these lifestyle commitments with reciprocal sympathetic bemusement….”Can’t do anything interesting with your day because you’ve got entertain the kids – aww bless.”
He’s got a bird, by the way. Non-feathered.

Thought she dumped him the other week. Something about her wanting to go IKEA last thursday, and Craig wanting to go to Wilkies and listen to the rl phone in on radio Leeds.......
Decent bloke though. Anyone tried working out the cost of 800+ games, match ticket, travel, and 10 pints of carling per match day?

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

The loan is coming from the public coffers.
What chances your employer would give you a company loan, whilst taking three-plus weeks leave?

Your dad and your Uncle Paul used to go all over the place watching Warrington.Pre season aswell.
Craig has got a loan off his work, which he will pay back plus interest. His 3 weeks away comes off his holiday entitlement, personally, I don't have a problem with employees doing what they want with their holidays.
As for getting the loan off his workplace, it used to be a common practice, though very few companies still do it. A lot of companies used to also pay ( without payback) a course at college/ university that had nothing at all to do with their job,( I did one) it was called investing in people ims, again, it is very rarely done nowadays.
You enjoy your hols Craig, and bring me back a Koala.
ps/ Keep away from Kings Cross.

They did, I'm sure. I think the thing is though that this is a preseason game in Australia. I would have enjoyed to go, but I think it's spending a lot of money for one preseason game. Had this been the WCC or some other proper game then I wouldn't comment on it. Fair play to him for the rest of the games, it's a great achievement, but for me this is one step too far.
Just a question about the 1000 games, it's ofer 27 years, which is about 37/38 games a season. Is he including all preseason games and others? Obviously I've not been watching all that time, so was their more trophies which got this value right up?

| Everyone. Friendlies, testamonials, Milwaukee, NZ, the lot, also throw in a lot of GB, England and Lancs/ Yorks games, CC finals etc.
Quite an achievement imo, though it seems there are a few on here with a hint of jealousy. As far as I know Craig, I've never known him to tell other people how to live their lives, so how he lives his, is his concern.
What makes the achievement more remarkable, is the fact that for the vast majority of the years, he also went to watch an awful lot of shi-ite regarding Warrington, it's not as if he started watching a good team (like Widnes, Hull fc of that era). It's very easy to jump on a bandwagon when the team are doing well, but when the wheels fall off Warrington ( which they inevitably will), I know 1 person who will carry on going when the rest of the fair-weather fans will not.

I don't pay attention to what Widnes fans say really, plus, I'm banned from their board on here so I don't read it.

Good post. I'll admit that I am bloody jealous, but good luck to the lad, he's doing something that I would love to have done and he'll remember it for the rest of his life.

If he's your new kind of postman, he'll turn up at the game 6 hours later than normal, and leave red elastic bands scattered all around the stadium.
