| If it does end up Ratchford coming into the halves for Myler then we will find out if what the Salford fans told us was true, that we had signed the wrong one because Ratchford was ten times the player...
As for Myler being out who cares about the early part of the season anyway as we all know all you have to do to win Super League is win 4 games at the end of the year so Myler can sit it out and do rehab till then if needs be.

| I don't think some people respect how good Myler really is. He will be missed and I'm hoping that Ratchford is more than an adequate replacement in the meantime. Backline will now mean Riley to fullback to cover for Hodgson, Williams in on the wing, Bridge, Atkins, Monas as you were. Sir Lee at 6, Ratch at 7. Evans and Blythe are there in case of injuries, they'll get their shot in time.

They were only average before then how the fk someone like Bailey got into the England squad is beyond me he was garbage all season and is nowhere near good enough for international rugby league !
How that muppet who writes for sporting life made Leeds team of the year is nothing short of disgraceful surely team of the year is the team that won more games over the season and topped the league last year it was us before that Wigan !
Grand final IMO is no different that the challenge cup four/ five game comp that is great to win but is nowhere near as big an achievement as finishing top of the 27 game format !
We scored more points than anyone else and had the best defence something I think has been forgotten about by Leeds fluke GF win'"
The Rhinos have won this GF 4 times in the past 5 seasons the lucky so and so's

Are they pee poor at winning the league? They won the league in 2004 and 2009 and won the Grand Final in both years.
Pee poor at winning the league is us we've done it once since 1973...
In these 5 years where Leeds have won 4 Grand Finals who do you reckon has been a better league side, Leeds or us? As its the league that counts not stuff like the knockout cups, who is a better league side?

| Last season yes they were nothing more than average for 27 games ! The past is the past ! I was talking about the person off sporting life who said they were team of the year after playing 4 good games n there players were all of a sudden top class internationals like Bailey and JJB who are poor IMO they have two world class players in Hall and Sinfield as long as he plays Lose Fwd !

Sorry but i disagree with you calling JJB mickey poor, he's been one of the most improved players in SL over the last few years. I also used to think that he was a fairly run of the mill SL player but my opinion of him has changed over the last few seasons, he's a strong runner that makes very good yards, he's also got very good footwork and good hands for a backrow forward.
He also performed well in the 4 nations and gave us some good impact and yardage from the bench.

I'd quite like 31 games of success tbh
As many have said, it would have to be Ratchford at the start of the season, but O'Brien looked like a terrific prospect when I saw him last year. For me, he seemed to offer far more creativity than Myler. Hopefully a Ratchford/O'Brien half-back partnership can be our long term solution.

I did it when I was 25 and the docs said its very uncommon for adults to sustain that injury because that joint is so tight. I was in a sling for the good part of a year and its still not right. Obviously Myler will get better treatment than me though.
Shenton suffered it in the Grand Final last year anyone know whether hes fit for the start of the season?'"
Shenton has been back in full training so should be ok for the start of the season. I guess it's one of those injuries that causes a weakness in the joint and can plague a player. I know Cunningham suffered and I think eventually had to have an op to sort it out. Hopefully Mylar can make a quick and full recovery, and like people are saying, although there's never a good time for an injury, better now than the business end of the season, or mid way through a GF grrrrrrr

What did you think of the Les Boyd team that won the Premiership under Tony Barrow in 1986? I bet you regard that team as Warrington legends with Boyd, Andy and Mike Gregory, Brian Johnson, Phil Blake and co in it. But that team was nothing more than average most of that season! They were 8th at Christmas and Reggie Bowden quit as coach in March, then they put a good run of results together in the last month of the season to come 4th and won a handful of playoff games and Wire fans go on about that team like it was a team of legends. Halifax were the true champions that year and they beat us home and away in the league we just got lucky in a one off game at the end of the season.

I think he's just talking about last season, specifically. Warrington were, in almost every measure, the best team last season and then if it wasn't warrington, it certainly wasn't leeds that were the best team. The fact that just cause leeds won the last match of the season (even though they were pretty poor for the previous 30odd) they are the best team is stupid; to say the least.

| Even if I were to take off my totally biased P&B glasses I would still say Warrington were the very best team in SL last year. Of that there is no doubt.

Padders argument is that Leeds were "pee poor" which they obviously weren't. I think some Wire fans have got a warped view of Leeds last season, they didn't just turn up randomly at Old Trafford and win one game and win the title, they won 9 out of their last 10 games and made the Challenge Cup final. Looking back there were signs in the weeks before the playoffs that Leeds were getting it together when they were starting to put hidings on teams like we had done all season, then in the playoffs they had to win four knock out games including away games at Huddersfield and Warrington and then beat Saints at Old Trafford, that was a good achievement and deserves respect, the Wire fans like Padders that can't let it go and have to go on about how "pee poor" look like right sad acts.
If we want to talk about being pee poor what about Warrington in 2009, we might have had a parade through the town centre for winning at Wembley but we really were pee poor that year, never mind finishing 5th like Leeds did, we were 10th that year which is where we finished under Anderson and Plange in 2002. After that season we had some fans from other clubs complaining that we were crap and had just had one lucky drop goal win at Hull KR then Hudds didn't turn up at Wembley and we had a trophy in the bag. They had to live with the injustice of watching a crap Warrington team celebrating a trophy success so we will have to live with the injustice of seeing a reasonable Leeds team celebrating a trophy success.
In the end the honours list doesn't lie, we won the League Leaders Shield, they won the Grand Final at Old Trafford. That sums up our two seasons, we were the top team over a league season and they won the overall competition that involves playoffs.
