Re the title of the thread...NEVER. We won a pot, FFS. On the way, I've seen the best Warrington side, in my watching lifetime. We're coached by the best man we've had at the club in my watching lifetime. What we've achieved this year, will never be overshadowed by a narrow defeat, to a team well versed in play-off rugby.They know how to win games at the end of the season. Regrettably, at the moment, we don't.
Hopefully, the team will come back stronger in February for it, and we'll learn to peak at the right times next year, and end up with a full trophy cupboard. Onwards and upwards for 2012.

Finish in the top half and win a few games at the end, simple

Are we to play our normal 17 will any signs of a knock, next year. Or do we rest them, and hopefully have them 'firing on all cylinders', come early September.

There are those who's glass is always half empty. Bit sad, any achievement will be overshadowed by the lack of perfection all sports teams display. I remember the Bull's game this season. Ok, we won 64-6, but conceeding that try completely took the shine off it for me. I remember going home and crying into my my beer, I was completely gutted.

I didn't think you bombed out through fatigue (like Wigan did) you just didn't settle like Leeds did and they had more composure throughout.

i wouldn't have thought that it's been a disappointing season as a wire fan either, disappointing end sure but at least you won the LLS.

Nail on the head mate. Our SEASON has been fantastic, absolutely top class most weeks and it just came to a disappointing end.

For me however, the fact that so many people are upset by us losing to a penalty goal in the 77th min of a game which we were right in despite being poor throughout goes to show how far we have come. And i love it.

Wire got the best blowy the game has seen. Shame they shot their load before the 'good stuff' happened (and ,hey, some people prefer a blowy)
