You won the hub cap which is worth nowt with out the big prize!
Ask Leeds fans! What did Leeds win in 05? WCC challenge and nothing else! Finishing top means nothing if you don't win the GF! It means something to wire fans because you haven't won a GF.

You had to work? I don't want to get into a childish pishing contest, or my dad's bigger than yours, but you scored three tries of the referees errors. That's hardly having to work.
Warrington are a great team and a great club, so not trying to bag them, just stating the actual.
The most interesting point for me was Smith's interview after the game. He stated that they needed the week off the week before, and that he had busted players playing, that perhaps he shouldn't have played a couple. This follows on from the recent extracts from Keith Seniors Autobiography regarding the 2005 challenge cup final, where in his book he alludes to the fact he was put under pressure from Smith to say he was ok to play, even though the medical staff said no. This could be a weakness of Tony Smith of pushing his big name players too far.

Wire did not win SL as that honour goes to the winner of the GF. However, the hub cap is very definitely worth winning in its own right - finishing top does mean a great deal. To be clear, Wire can't claim to be champions but can claim to have been the best team over 27 rounds of the comp.

He's left anyone out this season who hasn't been fit. When we're at the stage of the season where it might be necessary to take a chance on someone. As regards 'The World according to Keefe,' all I'll say is that sensationalism sells and there is such a thing as poetic licence.

He also left players out at Leeds when not fit throughout the season. But when it really mattered he took the risk, despite his medical team telling him no.

You're not getting me, or are you believing everything Keith Senior says?

| There's 2 ways of looking at the '18' points we 'gave away'.
1. Grix pass - definately a bit risky - but those sort of passes have been coming off throughout the year. Was Atkins standing too wide, had Hall come in, was the pass too weak?
2. Grix grab on Rob Burrow - Rob Burrow doing what Rob Burrow does best
3. Bridge poor tackle on Webb, or a good step by Webb wrong footing Bridge?
We weren't at our best but fair play to Leeds. They played their part too and stepped up a gear. Unfortunately we went done one.
King was fantastic for us and Riley had a very good game.
It didn't seem like the forwards dominated like they have done previously.

| I think it is amazing how much Riley has improved. With a bit of space he looks threatening all the day. His defence however is still a weakness. That missed tackle first half was awful, worse than Bridge's. Though I don't recall any Warrington play missing a tackle so easily as Bridge. Disappointing
Grix was at fault from Burrow break, but Burrow is class. Atrkins could have covered better once it was clear that Grix had been done.
I think in hindsight Westwood shouldn't have played. He wasn't fully fit, and I think that has a negative effect on the rest of the players.
As good as Smith is he still needs to resolve our defensive issues at the ruck area. Our rivals are superior in that area. It cost us on friday, and it cost us in the quarter finals of the cup.
How did we score 3 tries off ref errors? D

| When Ganson gave that final penalty he knew that he was handing the game to Leeds. In order to make that decision you would think that both he and his touch judge would have to be absolutely certain that they were making the right decision.
The ball has already been played yet Myler is still closer to our 20m line than the play the ball is to the 30m line. Even after the ball has been played he is still in an onside position and making a superbly timed run to block the drop goal attempt.
Not complaining about the result as such, Leeds were better and deserved it. Also, had the penalty not been given there is no guarantee that we would have won the game anyway, but in my opinion this was an absolutely shocking decision.

It was the correct decision.
The ball was played and upon contact with the green, Myler was in an offside position. Whether he is closer to the 20m line that the play the ball is irrelevant.
Warrington contributed to a quite superb contest and that needs to be remembered and applauded. In saying that, it was a dead set penalty to the impartial.

| In front of the referee = off side. Penalty. No drama for me.
You could try asking Stuart Cummings why Ganson appears to take the team back more than 10 metres (on the evidence of that freeze frame), but I seriously doubt you'd get a coherent response from him!

| Myler still made it back the full ten, marginal if he then broke before the play the ball, split second stuff that is ignored throughout most of the game.
