I thought we weren't allowed to slag Jon Clarke off on here?

| So it,s ok for a Wigan player to take two players out of the game in two consecutive weeks with an insidious tackle to the Knee which, apparently is in the Wigan little black book of hurting players, but Higham gets two matches for a contact with a player, I thought Maquire said this is part of the game, oh sorry that is only when a Wigan player does it, lets see what he says if it is done to Sam !!!!!!!!
Perhaps he Rugby Football League will still turn a blind eye when one these tackles finishes a players career. Lets see who they take out of the game this weekend if it looks like somebody is going to beat them in the semi.

| Against Wakefield at home, it doesn't matter. Monas can play 80 and I bet he doesn't get tackled once. We'll have 90% of the ball too, it'll be an extension of training.
Catalans away - obviously a big, rough, tough side, the scene of Clarke's finest for me, that scoot from 60m out a couple of years back. As an aside, we really need Morley back for that one, then he can off the week off, and be ready for Wigan.

If there had been anything wrong with those Wigan tackles then they would have been brought up before the disciplinary.
They were looked at and found to be legal tackles.

The longer Moz absence lasts the more I think he may be out for the season. As for Clarke/Higham, neither are now quite what we need imo but Clarkes distribution and defence make him the better option. I prefer someone at dummy half who can pass to hands rather than shins.

| Higham has been charged by the RFL and banned for two games. On the kangaroo court that is RLFans, we've given him a life ban and put him in solitary so he won't feel too bad.

Was it 60 metres JWP? If so, fair play, that accounts for about 97% of the metres he has gained in his entire career.
Then again, and at the risk of astonishing Chester Wire, I have hardly been impressed with Higham's contribution, or should I say of, in recent times.

Yep, it was from his own half and he looked quick. It was a really good try actually, I can see it in my head.
Higham, I dunno. He is what he is, is passing is innacurate, he doesn't/can't/won't kick from DH, but he tackles pretty well, he runs in straight lines and doesn't overcomplicate things I guess.
I think half the problem these two have is the bloke they come on to replace, he's doing things that beggar belief at times with ball in hand and defends as well as any forward I've ever seen. They must feel like the ugly bloke to the good looking mate.

I remember the try against Catalan, it was a very good try indeed! It was a case of determination with a capital 'D'! But you know me mate, protocol etc ...
As for replacing Mona's, it really is an unenviable task I agree. And one which neither of them are honestly upto. Mona's just sets a standard that can't be maintained on the vast majority of occasions. James Roby aside, there is no other hooker in the league who could continue a similar influence/impact from the bench.

Better than his effort at Wakefield in 2007?
