1883.jpg Didn't William Webb Ellis pick up the ball and run, someone should really tell Rugby Union.

| Ah nostalgia. The ads were good, the beer tasted like . That said, Greenalls Cask was very nice.

26672.jpg "The Warrington people hadn't had success for a few years, but there's no speccy in the world as good. They are very knowledgeable and appreciative of hard work. What they like is honesty. They want the team to try; if they fail they fail, but they expect honesty. They know when players don't put it in."

You couldn't beat a pint of festival in Richmond's Social club on a Friday lunchtime - actually, 2 pints of Festival, couple of pies and a couple of games of snooker, heaven!

| Found a picture of the mural; rlhttps://www.vads.ac.uk/x-large.php?uid
Think it was designed by Bill Tidy.
Does anyone remember the competition Vladivar ran where first prize was 2 nights in Varrington, second prize was 3 nights in Varrington!

| Grunhalle was comfortably and easily the worst lager I have ever tasted. It was at one point all you could get as well, then along came Castlemaine XXXX and Labatts.

Ahhh Festival.....LOVELY STUFF, when all you seemed to get was bogstandard Greenall's Bitter.
I remember Greenall's Original, then Thomas Greenall's Original, but Festival (for a keg bitter) was ACE...really hit the spot

Used to go to Golborne Parkside club house on a Wednesday night when they would empty the pumps and none of the old boys would touch it, 4 free pints

Try "Postlethwaite" in the Rodney, they taste similar.

| I remember the Vladivar ads - hence the name.
Orangiboom ads were best though - "it's a lager not a tune..."

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

What did the bloke in the advert get sent down for though? That's what I want to know.
If he did something 'honest' like a bank job, fair enough. If it's wounding with intent, or some sort of drugs crime I'm not sure Greenalls should have been glorifying him.
I WANT THE TRUTH
*tees up someone for obvious come back*
