The world of RL has moved on. The top Aussie coaches are all fielding a big man at 13, for that extra physical presence. I think your 9 now assumes the roll of the extra creative force in the side. Westwood would be an ideal 13 in international league these days and told to smash it up like Gallen does for Australia.'"
Your right, but we have Mcbanana in charge. And the general feeling is that he prefers to have more leaders on the park who are also dynamic enough to play/cover a few positions if injuries crop up or things aren't going to plan (Sinfield, O'loughlin).

True, but the same top Aussie coaches are picking creative stand offs, where as we are staring down the prospect of having Sinfield or O'Loughlin at 6. They are hardly Lockyer, Soward, Carney, Marshall et al. I think we need all the creativity we can get, as Roby, as good as he is, isn't a 'pivot' style hooker and has a limited kicking game.
A running stand off with a running loose and a running hooker would leave a lot on Brough's shoulders.

| Big change from the days where'd we be celebrating just one player in the England/GB Squad.
Well Done to All who helped create this current 'feel-good factor' around the club.

Just a shame they'll be playing under a garbage coach - I'd actually rather David Waite than McNamara.

We'll have to double up the likes of Kingy, Anderson and Monas.

I think you're right.
Poaching said a few weks ago that some of the players will most likely be asked to double up, particularly the younger ones.
It seems a bit of a strange decision to let Riley go out on loan now but I suppose nobody was to know that Evans and Joel were to pick up injuries.

| Is there any possibility that with the situation now verging on the ridiculous, that the RFL will move the game?
I know it would be short notice to say the very least, but I don't see the real harm in pushing the back to the Monday/Tuesday evening. Gate receipts would in all likelihood take a hit, but the extra day or so's rest would allow some of the participants in the game to play, and we'd still have a good rest ahead of Hull KR.

| Regarding the number of players per club - the only thing that has been confirmed is that the Exiles won't use more than 3 players from one club. But, Eddie Hemmings said on Boots N all a couple of weeks ago that he'd heard suggestion that there may be an agreement between the two sides not to use more than 4 players per club between them, i.e 3 on the Exiles then 1 for England, or 2 on each, or 1 England and 3 in Exiles. That would be sensible and much fairer.
It can't be right that we face the prospect of 9 of our players featuring in this game and none from Salford. It's all very well saying we should be strong enough to beat them but we've already shown a few times this season that we are capable of underpar performance (i.e. Hull and Catalans) without being handicapped in this way.

Good point about Riley - even before the injuries, you'd have thought he'd have been a certainty for the Salford game.
