| Don't see the point in having O'Brien in the squad if he aint going to play. Didn't see him last week but heard he didn't look out of place and linked well with Briers. So stick him in there and see how he goes in superleague.

He's moved down the pecking order for wingers I'm afraid, he will have to bide his time until King leaves them he might get a wing slot ahead of Williams

| come on now people clarke isn't in form or at our level any more especially when we got monas. the point of interchange is to replace the players and still play at the same level and intensity. i hate to say but i can see him at widnes next year.

I'd like to see O'Brien given another opportunity.
I'm not too keen on anyone else partnering Briers in Myler's absence. Even Monas.

Don't think Warrington have a problem putting "kids in pivotal roles" seems as we have Myler who is the same age as Gaskell and Lomax at Saints (who are only playing due to injuries and mardy lips anyway) as our first choice scrum-half.
The concern I have with O'Brien is that him and Briers play a similar type of game and do not compliement each other in the way Briers' and Myler's games do. Its all well and good Briers chasing the short reverse-kick under the sticks ala Myler against Keighley but I don't want him doing that role against Super League clubs.

Yeah, appreciate Myler is very young himself PY, but I meant more in terms of bringing somebody up from the Academy if you know what I mean? Its a massive step up for O'Brien where as Myler has played International already. The likes of Lomax got chucked in the deep end and didn't drown whatsoever.
Therefore, I do have faith in the lad. He'd be partnered with basically a wizard in Briers so he doesn't need to feel too pressured. As for that kick yes, definately wouldn't want to see too much of that against Cas but to be fair, our attacking prowess, kicking game and offloading has served us well so far this year. Doing 'banana' kicks or reverse kicks etc should be welcomed if you have the ability to do it with the right timing and in the right field position.
Aslong as our forwards dominate, as we'd fully expect, then a couple of gambles whether they succeed or not shouldn't prevent us from winning this one. No disrespect to Cas there either.
Just my opinion ofcourse.

I seem to recall Lomax getting plenty of game time away from the halves before being given a run there. O'Brien filling Myler's role in the team would mean him moving away from his natural game, I was referring to the kick last week as Briers was taking the Myler role/positioning.
Don't get me wrong I'm a big fan of O'Brien and would love him to get a chance on Friday but I just think that Smith will go with Grix in the halves as he has been the best "stand-in" there this year to date.
Either way I've lumped on Warrington at -16 on the handicap as I think we are going to run up a big score again on Friday.

I believe Jon Clarke is a superior player and his distribution is second to none.

I've seen you on here before, I've heard more sense spoken by a Wiganer.

This really has to be a wind-up - I am actually a supporter of Jon Clarke but no way is he superior to Monas!!
